“Our new line of Class D amplifiers offer a variety of options for buyers,” noted Bill Jackson, president of Rockford Corporation. “We’ve packed these four new Class D amplifiers with incredible technology not typically seen at this price point. We’re confident that when people get a taste of how small and efficient these new Prime series amps are, they’ll never want to listen to their factory system again.”

Rockford’s Prime FRD amplifiers utilize a high efficiency Class D amplifier design for reduced current consumption from the charging system and improved power density. Five Tips to Keep Your Car Looking Great in 30 Minutes or Less by Meguiars

Between getting through a hectic work week, constantly being stuck in traffic, taking the kids to soccer practice, making dinners, keeping up with the family schedule and performing household chores, today’s car owners have little time to spare for detailing their vehicles. To help these busy motorists, Meguiar’s®, the car care experts Since 1901, have put together a list of five “quick tips” that will help any owner keep his or her automobile looking great and in tip-top shape. If you have 30 minutes, you can easily give your car a quick detail – it will go a long way in maintaining the look and feel of your vehicle… and sometimes even the value!

Always keep a trunk kit: Using the right products is the key to beautifying the look of your vehicle in the shortest amount of time possible. Meguiar’s® recommends motorists keep a “trunk kit” handy at all times, complete with a variety of products to clean their entire vehicle. Products such as Meguiar’s® Endurance Tire Spray, Ultimate Quik Wax and Quik Interior Detailer™ are specially designed to decrease detailing time and swiftly restore the original look of interior and exterior surfaces.

The right tools save time: Having the right assortment of car cleaning tools is one of the easiest ways to shave off detailing time. A microfiber towel such as Meguiar’s® Supreme Shine® Microfiber Towel reduces wipe off time while decreasing the chance of inflicting swirls in your finish. Using foam applicators or a small, soft brush is also recommended for removing debris and applying product to obtain the quickest results.

A little time makes a big difference: The old adage of “a little goes a long way” applies in car care. Spending a few minutes a day or a simple 30-minute session once a week can dramatically reduce the amount of dirt build-up that may degrade the appearance of both interior and exterior surfaces. Full detail sessions are still recommended on a quarterly or half yearly basis to ensure that your vehicle remains in tip-top shape but these short sessions definitely help maintain and protect in the interim.

Be careful where you park: Drivers should always be aware of where they park, taking care to avoid parking underneath trees and near sprinkler systems. Not only can birds, sap and water permanently damage a car’s exterior, but they also add time to any detail session.

Avoid Short Cuts: Meguiar’s® experts recommend avoiding quick, but costly short cuts when cleaning your car during a quick detail. Using a paper towel from the gas station may seem like a time-saver, but owners run the risk of damaging the exterior of their car by using a dry wipe. Instead, consumers should lubricate the surface by using a detail spray, such as Meguiar’s® Ultimate Quik Detailer, and a Supreme Shine Microfiber when removing any residue off of a car’s exterior. Also waiting to quick detail in cooler temperatures allows product to dry effectively and decreases the chance of streaks or swirls in the finish.

ADV.1 Wheels Presents A Compilation of Win.... ning Photography

Okay, okay. I added that last part. I get a lot of emails and one of the ones I always look forward to seeing are the ones from ADV.1 Wheels, simply because of the photography. Seeing how we're in the age of technology and everyone who owns a DSLR thinks they're a professional photographer, it's refreshing to see work who understands the basics of photography: composition, angles, lighting, color, and I could go on.

ADV.1 Wheels regularly sends emails showing off cars wearing their wheels, and I included about 40% of the photos in this post.

One of my favorites...

I had to do a triple take because I really thought the building in the background was my high school.

Gorgeous...

Again, do not take this post as my being arrogant, just know that real professional photographers know that there's always something to learn, regardless of how long you've been shooting. Some folks can't be happy with what I say.

Meguiar's Introduces New All Metal Wheel Polish

In an effort to answer one of the most common car care questions, Meguiar’s introduces its new All Metal Wheel Polish, a product that transforms dingy, oxidized wheels into like-new shape in just minutes.

The all-new wheel cleaning formula acts quickly to remove oxidation without scratching and can be applied with either Meguiar’s® DynaCone™ polishing tool or by hand. Leaving metals stunningly bright, this new product uses gentle polishing oils to achieve a perfect shine every time.

For use on all uncoated, polished or chrome metals, Meguiar’s All Metal Wheel Polish is safe to use on cast aluminum, magnesium and billet alloy.

Meguiar’s All Metal Wheel Polish is not intended for use on painted, clear-coated wheels or chrome plated plastic, but is the ultimate solution for consumers searching for a way to keep their metal wheels looking new.

If this product leaves your wheels shiny like their Quik Interior Detailer Wipes do, then this would definitely be a must have.

West Coast Customs + Sweet Arleen's = A Tasty Treat on Wheels

Sweet Arleen's, a cupcake boutique in LA decided to expand their empire by going mobile. Of course, when a company goes mobile, they need a vehicle. The company decided on the Mercedes Sprinter, a very popular commercial van. But it needed some pizzaz, and that's where West Coast Customs comes in.

Borrowing off of the design of the site, West Coast Customs continues the consistency of Arleen's brand by adding those touches to the Sprinter.

Yes, they even put the cupcake logo on the grille.

How adorable is the end result??? After seeing this van, I really want to go to this place for some cupcakes. And as we speak, I'm on Sweet Arlene's site with my mouth watering onto my computer...

Car Show Coverage: 2011 Dub Car Show: Ocean City, MD

Aug 27, 2011

The Dub Car Show Tour is still rolling strong with their latest tour stop being Ocean City, Maryland. Originally, I was going to come to this car show, but instead I followed my heart and went to LA for the Lowrider Show to say that I experienced a show thrown by a different promotor (and I do not regret going to LA).

On to the photos...

Now I love Louis as much as the next girl, but this was a miss.

Just when you thought nothing more could be done to a late model Chrysler 300, someone still manages to come up with something creative.

LOVE IT!!!

What's up with the pattern and color scheme?

The Sound of the Tristate wants the entire block to hear Dipset...

Deebo!!! Why am I mad that I missed him?

I'm not a purple girl, but this particular shade is cute...

Hey!!! This Sequoiya looks familiar. I wonder if he did anything to it since his interview?

Graphics are SICK!!! And by the looks of it, there's no stickers involved. Seriously, who is the graphic artist behind this?

Flocka took the time to have a meet and greet with his fans. He's so sweet... but I'm mad that she decided to do the "Nicki Minaj kissy face" facial expression.

And he loves the ladies.

And of course, you can see the complete gallery at Dub Car Show: Ocean City on Flickr.com

Note to self: Go to Ocean City in 2012.
