Effiplus New Winter Tire SNOWKING making its debut

Effiplus brings to this winter a new winter tire range, SNOWKING. SNOWKING employs a full silica compound in order to deliver lower rolling resistance. The "Horn" groove design gives SNOWKING an excellent water & snow self-cleaning ability. 40,000 zigzag sipes were applied on the tread to improve the grip capability on winter road conditions.

One more interesting feature, SNOWKING also makes its differentiation on the sidewall by inviting Santa Claus to spend the winter time with you.

The initial range starts from 195/65R15 to 235/40R18 with a speed range from R to T.

SNOWKING was developed for Canadian, Russian, and Central & Northern European markets. Effiplus is and will always be dedicated to developing new tires according to different market needs.

If I see anyone in the Southern region of the United States with these tires...

Eisenmann covers Audi R8 in carbon: Audi R8 becomes Spark Eight by Eisenmann

Oct 27, 2010

Eisenmann has long been the acme of superior performance exhaust systems. For the first time the exhaust specialist has transformed an entire vehicle. The highest standards, which are hallmarks of Eisenmann, also apply to the carbon aerodynamic package, the alloy wheels, the chassis, and of course the exhaust system. This converts the Audi R8 into the Spark Eight by Eisenmann.

Not only does the aerodynamic package contribute to its ultimate visual effect, it also improves the functionality of the super sports car from Ingolstadt. The components significantly improve the driving dynamics and the load distribution between front and rear axle. The new carbon outfit includes the spoiler with grille and fins ($10,800.66 including VAT), the brake cooling chambers ($1744.72), the front splitter ($2492.46), the rear spoiler with grille ($6646.56), and the rear diffuser ($5261.86).

It goes without saying that exhaust systems are the domain of Eisenmann. The Spark Eight by Eisenmann is fitted with a performance stainless steal system, with a gigantic tailpipe exit in the center of the rear spoiler ($6369.62). This warrants a one-of-a-kind visual effect. Thanks to the flap control system, sound and optimal performance can be controlled with the push of a button. As an alternative Eisenmann offers an exhaust system with four stainless steel tailpipes ($5261.86) that can be combined with the standard rear spoiler. The retro-classic intake funnel ($1661.64) and the two oval tailpipes ($1384.70) provide the look of the R10.

For the Spark Eight by Eisenmann, visual appearance, sound and performance enter into a perfect symbiosis. All of the above is based on experience Eisenmann has amassed in motoring. Many years of research and development for racetracks and motorways alike have merged into an unrivaled project. Components and the complete conversion package are exclusively available at Eisenmann and on the Web at www.eisenmann-sportauspuff.de

Audi setting new standard for in-vehicle After Sales connectivity and accessories

Out of the house of Audi, existing and future Audi owners
have something to look forward to when an eclectic array of After Sales products are revealed at Audi of America's first-ever SEMA Show exhibit.

The automaker is also upping the ante by showcasing two extraordinary vehicles sure to delight SEMA Show attendees—the Autonomous Audi TTS Pikes Peak (fresh from a dramatic run up the famous Colorado landmark) and a head-turning, power-packed Audi R8 Custom Spyder by STāSIS Engineering.

In an impressive display of technologies designed to enhance the Audi driving experience, the exhibit will feature:

--An iPod Satellite Adapter, effectively turning the Audi's Satellite Radio into an extension of the iPod, with enhancements that include a scan feature and track and artist display through the Audi vehicle's Satellite Radio;

--Custom Illuminated Floor Mats that add to the aesthetic appeal of the Audi interior, while
contributing to safety when entering or leaving the vehicle;

--An iPhone Car Monitor App, offering motoring enthusiasts the ability to monitor, track and
analyze key performance indicators for their Audi vehicle;

--A Wireless Charger that gives iPod and iPhone owners the ability to keep their devices
fully juiced—minus the cords.

Bringing the automotive magic of Audi to the popular SEMA Show is a strategic move that the company expects to generate dividends for years to come. "These technologies are definitely in line with the luxury amenities that Audi owners have come to expect," said David Tait, Audi of America's lead After Sales executive. "We're quite certain that Audi owners will appreciate the opportunity to personalize their vehicles in exciting and interesting new ways. Our show cars represent the pinnacle of what owners can do with an Audi, and unleash a variety of opportunities for our vendors, as well."

Hey Audi, see you in Vegas...

Ridin Music: Bernie's Generous With the Ridin Music... again.

Oct 26, 2010

So in the spirit of the Ridin Music section, I decided to be less judgmental and post ridin music of those with familiar faces. If I posted every single song that I receive, especially those who think they're talented, then this would turn into a music site, and I don't want that. It's just for those who want some new music to play in their vehicle. I'm just trying to look out for you...

First up, and do NOT judge me:

(I don't know if Sir Jonathan Mannion has photographed Willow, but I do know that he photographed Nicki)

Although I was never one to listen to child singers, rappers, etc (even when they were my age. When I was Willow's age, I was listening to the Notorious B.I.G.) this song grew on me. I thought the chorus was adorable, "I whip my hair back and forth". Of course, I chose to put the remix with Nicki Minaj on here, to not ruin my street cred.

Round Two: "I Can't Help It" by T.I. feat. Rocko.

First things first, doesn't T.I.P. look adorable in this photo? I love personality shots, over the stereotypical shots of rappers where they try to look tough and they really aren't or not overly so. I'm not saying that he isn't tough, but I love the shots of him smiling like this. Oh and here's the song.

Round three: Lil' Wayne feat. Drake "Right Above It"

(I can definately confirm that Jonathan Mannion photographed both of these photos)

I seriously love the beat... and the song.

And finally, my favorite babyface rapper- Jadakiss with 50 Cent "Dump (It's Like That)"

Is it me or Jadakiss hasn't aged a day since he recorded "You'll See" with the rest of the LOX?

Might as well condense the Ridin Musics so I don't have to put a bunch of separate posts. That's not being lazy, after all, SEMA is coming up...

Top 10 Worst Cities for Traffic According to the Weather Channel.

The Atlanta-based Weather Channel has released the list for the top 10 worst cities for traffic. Although I agree with one of the cities, there's about 7 cities that I haven't had the pleasure of driving in. But the irony is that all of the cities except for number 2 and 1, you HAVE to HAVE a CAR to GET AROUND.

10. Detroit, MI. The center of the American auto industry comes in at #10 in the list of cities in which commuters spend the most time stuck in traffic.

9. San Diego, CA. The San Diego-Carlsbad-San Marcos metropolitan area has a population of around 3-million. It's the 17th largest metro area in the nation, but it ranks #9 for its traffic time delays.

8. San Jose, CA. The third largest city in its own state, but the tenth largest in the entire nation.

7. Orlando, FL. I guess rushing to see Mickey Mouse creates traffic.

6. Dallas-Fort Worth, TX. The 12 counties that make up the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitan area have a total population of around 6.3-million. It is also the fastest growing metro area in the country.

5. San Francisco and Oakland. No comment.

4. Houston, TX. I guess if you're still tipping on four-fours, you holding up traffic.

3. Atlanta, GA. I guess they based the study on Sunny Mondays. But when it's raining, Friday afternoons, Fridays before Holiday weekends, and those Tuesdays where it takes you an hour to get to a location where it only should take 15 mins, Atlanta should be number 1. And I've said this before: I blame all the Gwinnett County, Cobb County, Clayton County and all those who don't have Fulton and Dekalb County plates cause you can't drive and you're the ones who cause me to have to sit in traffic. Most of Atlanta can't handle metro city driving. See my previous posts about Atlanta and their no driving suburban drivers as well as driving tips in Atlanta.

2. Washington DC. I've been to DC many times, and I've driven through DC too. Yet I haven't experienced any traffic.

1. Los Angeles metropolitan area. Although I haven't been to LA yet (but my day is coming) this seems to be the only city listed with a decent public transportation system. Then again, not every city can have an MTA system. I think I'm the only person waiting to experience LA traffic. We'll see on my birthday...

You notice how the biggest metropolitan city in the entire country isn't on this list. In New York, you can get by without driving, or having a license. Don't believe me? Just ask my cousin- he JUST got his license and we're the same age. Ask my sister too, since she has her license for identification purposes.

Is this not cute or what????

Sanrio and the Smart Car have teamed up and announced a partnership to offer vehicle wraps featuring Hello Kitty for the smart fortwo. Vehicle owners can now order Hello Kitty vehicle wraps through smart USA's "Smart Expressions," a customization program launched in July.

"We are expanding the highly successful smart program by adding licensed brands as part of our wrap offerings," said Kim McGill, smart USA's vice president of marketing. "Both Hello Kitty and smart are expressive with a passionate following, and this is a special opportunity to bring the two fan bases together."

"Our collaboration with smart USA allows fans to truly embrace the Hello Kitty lifestyle," said Janet Hsu, president of Sanrio, Inc. "This is the first time that Sanrio will offer a Hello Kitty car in the United States. The modern, environmentally-friendly features of the smart fortwo combined with supercute Hello Kitty designs deliver an exciting offering that responds to the demands of our fans for special edition lifestyle products."

The smart Expressions program offers Hello Kitty wraps in three different full body designs, each with a selection of color schemes, in addition to a series of partial wrap designs and colors. In total, there are 22 full and partial wrap design and color combinations from which to choose.

The Hello Kitty wrapped cars will appear at many Sanrio 50th Anniversary events this fall. The Hello Kitty customized cars can be seen at various stops on the Small Gift mobile pop up tour, which kicks off in San Francisco on October 23. The tour does make a stop in Atlanta on November 26-28 in Atlantic Station, and I will be there.

I'm anxious to see it. I'm such a girl... But my biggest question is: How come this won't be at SEMA? Ironically the tour stops in Las Vegas 10 days after I'll be there...

Wings for the BMW M3: LSD gull-wing door plates now available individually

Oct 21, 2010

With gull-wing door plates by LSD, the BMW M3 (E90/E92/E93) becomes a real head-turner. LSD offers the hinges either as a complete set for both doors including hinges, cable set fitting materials and attachments for only $2441.95 including VAT. Now the hinges are also available for each door individually. This lowers the entry price to $1115.56 for the hinge. The mathing cable set is available for $279.24. Therefore everyone can arrange his LSD doors as required or buy the complete set which already includes all necessary components.

The plates are equipped with the new GRS+ (Guided Roller System). It offers an adjustment possibility with the roller guidance of the roller bearing integrated in the hinges and additional stability through a catch which that locks in fully-opened condition. This results in more safety and more precise opening and closing of the door.

LSD plates are delivered with a part certificate by the German Technical Control Board which ensures that the LSD gull-wing doors fulfil all security standards.

Compared to other retrofit-sets for gull-wing doors, the LSD plates “made in Germany“ impress with a fully developed technology and the highest-possible quality standard. Moreover, a test laboratory accredited by the Federal German Transport Authority confirmed in a side crash-test that the LSD-solution which is patented in Germany is as safe as any serially fitted door. That means that passenger safety in a side crash is guaranteed according to guideline 96/27/EG by the LSD hinge system. LSD enables an easy and quick assembly without welding or painting works and impresses by its perfect fitting accuracy due to its three-dimensional adjustment.

The LSD plates are fitted to the original door attachment points of the dismantled original plates. After the assembly, the otherwise unchanged original door first opens outwards and then securely guided and damped upwards. Adjustable plates stop doors from opening too far or from falling inwards or downwards when opened. And also, it only takes one grip to close the doors. The LSD gull-wing doors render a sensational look to any car and are the ideal solution of fans of extraordinary tuning- and show cars. The LSD door plates can be obtained directly from LSD or from a specialist dealer.

So right here, you're looking at an extremely low milage 2007 Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR 722, for sale, for the low, low price of $430,000. (And that's American Dollars)

With less than 1,000 miles, this car is The "722 Edition" includes an engine rated 650 PS (480 kW; 640 hp)@6500rpm and 820 Nm (600 lbft)@4000rpm, with top speed of 337 km/h (209 mph) (3 km/h (1.9 mph) faster than the standard SLR).

19-inch light-alloy wheels were used to reduce unsprung weight...

While modifications were also made to the suspension, with a stiffer damper setup and 10 mm (0.39 in) lower ride height introduced for improved handling. Larger 390 mm (15 in) diameter front brakes and a revised front air dam and rear diffuser were fitted. Exterior changes, other than the larger 19-inch (480 mm) black light-alloy wheels, include red "722" badging, hearkening back to the original 722 racer, and slightly different taillights and headlamps." This car is loaded with carbon fiber from the hood to the floor pans and wheel wells. Still has Mercedes Benz factory warranty till August 2011 or 50,000 miles. Since I am the loving individual that I am, I decided to include photos and contact information to the person that's representing the seller (Even I don't have the seller's contact info). And on top of that, you can run a Carfax report on it, so you can see if the owner has done any damage to it. I highly doubt he has, because I'm sure he's a good driver, probably not as great as he played basketball.

IF you're interested in seeing the vehicle in person (ONLY if you're interested it purchasing it. Being a groupie is not cute, and trust me, I've seen plenty of them.), contact Ali T. at A&M Auto Exports by email: aandmautoexports@gmail.com or call him at (713)849-4222

P.S. The only owner of the vehicle happened to be Michael Jordan, and he's getting rid of it. Along with the car, you get the title with his signature on it. Don't say that I wasn't looking out for you. There's an excessive amount of photos on the eBay page

Let's hope that the sale of this car is more positive than LaLa trying to sell that hot pink Range Rover of hers.

Ridin Music: T.I. feat. Chris Brown "Get Back Up"

Oct 18, 2010

I decided to add T.I.'s new song with Chris Brown called "Get Back Up". Check it out whenever you can. Well done Clifford, but I'm gonna leave it at that...

Shop Review: Auto Extremes, Conyers GA

Labor Day Weekend (I know, so long ago) I had the honor of interviewing Auto Extremes in Conyers, GA. I met two of the guys at V-103 car show where they were showing off one of the partners of Auto Extremes, T-Pain's, Scion XB that they've done. They said it would be fine to come to the shop.

I took them up on their offer, and on Sept 4th, I pulled my Envoy up to the front door of Auto Extremes, where Bubba, the manager greeted me at the door. Like Reme, he let me have my run of the one-stop shop, except for one area.

On the lift in the back was the Joker Impala that belonged to T-Pain. Yes there's photos of it out. Yes it has an article dedicated to it in Rides Magazines. However, they're doing a little bit more work to it to take to the Dub Car Show that will be inside of SEMA. Bubba asked if I could not photograph the Impala. I didn't photograph the Impala simply because I knew that the Impala and I would meet up again in Nevada.

Besides the Joker Impala, there were three vehicles that stood out that I will talk about...

First: Ne-Yo's '68 Matte Black Chevy with suicide doors, matte paint, new automatic transmission, 20 inch wheels, and more. But at the time of this photo, it was almost complete. Notice how I didn't take any photos of the interior...

Two: Ciara's three wheeler, at the time of the photo, she hasn't picked it up yet. I wonder if she finally got it...

And Three: Keri Hilson's White Jeep Wrangler Sport. As you can see, not much has done with it, but what will be done to it is: trim will be painted from black to white, JL Audio System and custom box, Chrome Accessories, Window tint, and 22 inch wheels and tires. All of this for the low, low price of let Keri tell you(Bernie doesn't drop Dollar Amounts without permission). Like Ne-Yo's car, I want to see the finish product...

While I was there, I also saw someone who was working hard on his personal car. His name is Champ and he answered every question that I decided to ask him. His '71 Chevelle SS will look familiar because it was the secondary car that was on the cover of this month's Rides Magazine. (**Note: Nothing personal towards the factory Dodge Challenger SRT with the widebody kit on it, but that shouldn't have been the main car featured.) Like his car, I thought Champ was adorable.

I was impressed with the work that comes out of the house of Auto Extremes. Even though one of the partners happens to be a celebrity, they're not just a celebrity car customizing shop. They'll put just as much heart and work into a car enthusiast's car as they would a celebrity's car and that says a lot about them.

I had the opportunity to sit down and interview Bubba and he's what he had to say:

If you want to check out Auto Extreme for yourself, go to AutoExtreme.net or if you want to go there, the address is 1018 Iris Dr SE, Conyers, GA. 30094 and tell them Bernie sent you. It probably won't do you any good, at least if you mention their ad in Dub Magazine, you'll save 10% off of any service.

But I'm surprised that Neiman Marcus went for the Chevy Camaro. I know my department stores, that's why I'm surprised.

So... Ummm.... How 'Bout the 2011 Dodge Charger???

Oct 13, 2010

So the new photos were released by the almighty Dodge.

The front end of the car still looks somewhat the same. If we're getting into details, I see that the front end has been rounded off a bit, as well as the chrome accents around the grille, which looks cute. It'll look cuter with an aftermarket grille, but that's just me.

The booty of the Charger looks like the little brother to the Challenger, but with less lights. So that means that the newer model Dodge Avenger will look like this as well.

As far as the interior: Not a fan of the two toned interior, looks ugly.

(Paraphrased from leftlanenews.com) Several upscale options have been added to the Charger for 2011, including adaptive cruise control with forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring with rear cross path protection and a rear backup camera with grid lines.

Both rear and all-wheel-drive will return, but base models eschew the outgoing 2.7 and 3.5-liter V6s for the “Pentastar” 3.6-liter unit seen in the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Dodge hasn’t released specifications, but we expect power output similar to the Jeep’s 290 horsepower and 260 lb-ft. of torque. Look for a five-speed automatic transmission.

Dodge is emphasizing its Charger R/T AWD, which comes with 19-inch wheels, the 5.7-liter V8 and a segment-exclusive active transfer case with front axle disconnect. Dodge says the front axle disconnect helps save 5 percent on fuel economy by utilizing only rear-wheel-drive unless additional traction is needed.

Can't wait to see a customized version of this... I haven't seen too many extremely customized Challengers like the late model Chargers. *Sad face*
