Bernie's Car Show Coverage: Midwest Fest 4

Oct 5, 2020

I decided to step out on faith (and a little research) and went to a car show that I've never been to... in a part of the country that I've never been to. I traveled to the Midwest to attend Midwest Fest 4.... and I had no reason to complain.

On September 28th, I attended my first Midwest Fest show. Everyone and I do mean everyone knows that I'm a New Yorker who is living in the South (for now). I'm familiar with shows in the Northeast, shows in the South, and shows on the West Coast. But there's a little area that I just never made it to. This was my first time in the Midwest, so I experienced Midwest Fest very differently than everyone else.

First and foremost- Midwest Fest held up to its name. 1249 cars with the majority of them coming from states that are a part of the Midwest. Majority of the cars were from the Midwest, which means I've never seen the majority of the cars. If I had to estimate, prior to Midwest Fest weekend, there were maybe 10 cars I've seen and shot before.

I wasn't disappointed with what showed up to Midwest Fest. In a nutshell, they love Oldsmobile Cutlass/442 and Chevy Monte Carlos like how Atlanta loves Chevy Chevelles. A lot of Donks, Boxes, and Bubbles. A ton of classic cars that I haven't seen in ages (think the Buick Electra 225, Oldsmobile Delta 88, etc). A lot of chameleon style paint and printed wraps. But the one thing I can say is that the Midwest really cares about their interiors. I've seen so many interiors that were nicer than interiors in new cars. Some owners kept the interior close to original as possible. Other owners decided to make their interiors as plush and luxurious as possible.

Enough talking since I know you want to continue to see some photos.

Needless to say I had fun and I will be back. To see the rest of the photos, check out Bernie's Midwest Fest 4 gallery.
