Bernie's Top 10 Posts of 2012...

Dec 31, 2012

Found the photo somewhere on Google

Can't believe that this year is over... But like Will Castro says- "New Year, New Beginnings, New Money". But before I can ring in the new year, I want to revisit the top 10 posts of 2012 (based on pageviews) and who would have thought that my number one post is from someone from Jersey Shore...

Now from 10 to 1, here is Bernie's Top 10 Posts of 2012...

10. Bernie's Favorite: Estevan Oriol talks cars with Travis Barker...

I labeled this Bernie's Favorite because cars brings a lot of people together and when Travis Barker said that he loves traveling to see how people in various parts of the world customize their cars, he really won me over. And I honestly have a newfound respect for him.

9. MC Customs Shows off a Gorgeous Jeep Wrangler Rubicon

I thought this Jeep Wrangler was gorgeous, even though I have no desire to know who Alex Gonzalex is from the Milwalkee Brewers is...

8. Car Show Coverage: 2012 Dub Car Show Anaheim and Part 2

Everyone knew that this would be the best Dub Car Show of 2012- it was an outdoor car show in California. That means that people can come and go as they please. This was the ONLY Dub Show I wished I would have went to...

7. West Coast Customs Presents a Cadillac Escalade

Usually when West Coast Customs customizes a vehicle, it looks great. But leave the donks to the South. They lost me with this one.

I still thought this was a hot mess, but thankfully he unloaded this... I think. Did he? I know that Lamborghini is no more... But after this horrendous customization, Tyga came to his senses and went to West Coast Customs. Thank GOD!!!!

He really was doing so well and then he gets a Smart Car, then calls it the Swag Car. He needed to quit while he was ahead. Plus Fiat's are more fun to drive.

I think with this customization really mainstreamed the Chrome Wrap.

I'm still a little on the fence with this one, but he probably doesn't have it anymore

West Coast Customs is the only customization shop whose customized cars will look EXACTLY like the renderings. Usually the finished product is a little off from the renderings, but not with them...

and the Number 1 Post....

When being an individual goes wrong. I really thought she was going to leopard out the interior.

Remember keep up with Bernie in 2013... Happy New Year and get drunk... but don't drive.

Recapping the Second Season Finale of the Dub Magazine Project

Dec 20, 2012

Awwww, it’s the last episode of the Dub Magazine Project.

That was smart to put Machine Gun Kelly to put in the Dub Garage. Duh, it’s only the Dub Magazine Project. I think MGK was a more personable host. Dub made the right choice with him.

During Cash Out’s segment, I was looking at the city skyline, and said that looks familiar… yeah, it took me a minute to realize that it happens to be the city that I live in. Love how he gets his wings- mild sauce with lemon pepper sprinkles. But for real, Cash Out said the most truthful statement- make sure you can afford the car three times over before you purchase it. However, the Fisker Karma didn’t do anything for me in burgundy.

Kreayshawn…  She’s driving a Forgiato dipped Buick Grand National, but the 90% of the $50,000 that the car is worth is based off of the Forgiato steering wheel, wheels, and grille. But that Hello Kitty sticker depreciated the value. But in all appreciation of Miss Gucci Gucci, at least her taste in cars represents her style.

I’ve seen Tyga more not hosting, that I did as the host of the show. I was trying to see what kind of car Myles was driving, but the shadow of his arm was blocking the emblem. Myles did have a point- matte red really isn’t common. The only matte red cars I can think of would be the Phantom that Platinum did and the Ferrari California that WCC did for Tyga.  Even though a motorcycle is smaller than a car, it would be a bigger bitch to wrap. The Dub Garage did great with it. That poor Lamborghini was recently crashed, just a few short days ago.

Another West Coast Customs customization down the drain. At least Ryan got paid... hopefully.

Snoop Dogg…. I thought he was going to have the whole show. I really wished he had the whole show. He drove around LA in a 1963 Monster Energy Cadillac DeVille on his way to a meeting with Sanctiond Auto Products (aka Mister Cartoon and ‘em). I loved the chemistry between Snoop and Sanctiond, and Estevan Oriol’s moment with the camera.

All in all, season 2 was a lot stronger than season 1. Check it out…

P.S. So I guess Funkmaster Flex’s Full Throttle isn’t coming back on???

Platinum Motorsport shows off a matte grey Range Rover

Dec 18, 2012

The eye candy at Platinum Motorsports released photos of one of their latest projects. Here's some backstory. Lupe Fiasco introduced this guy (who's from NY) to PM and the guy wanted to get his Range Rover done AFTER participating in the Gumball Rally. So... those Keshiayian brothers took the Range from what it looked like above into a matte grey Rover with glossy black Vossen wheels. The end result...

Forgiato Shows off a Jaguar XJ

I'm gonna give Texas the benefit of the doubt. But ummm, Forgiato released these photos of a beautiful Jaguar XJ paired up with their Maschili Wheels. The end result...

The wheels do not go with this car. That's why I'm not happy. The wheels would look great on a donk, not a luxury vehicle. But is this how Texas gets down???

Savini Forged Wheels Shows off a Ford Mustang

Dec 14, 2012

Savini Forged Wheels just released a video of a Ford Mustang wearing their BM4 wheels. Check this out...

Forgiato Wheels Shows off a Mercedes CL65 AMG

Forgiato released photos of a Mercedes CL65 AMG that was customized by Prior Design. This CL65 is sitting on Forgiato's F 2.15 Wheels. And remember, their 2.0 series is their high end line, but Forgiatos as a company is pretty high end. This car does look familiar...

Oh, I remember. I've seen it at SEMA.

Two for the Price of One: Butler Tire Shows off a Porsche Panamera AND a Porsche Cayenne

Porsche Cayenne Turbo and Porsche Panamera on custom wheels

Atlanta's number one place that sells tires, Butler Tire, released photos of a Porsche Panamera AND a Porsche Cayenne. Both Porsches have the black with a tinge of red. Let's talk about the Panamera first...

Porsche Panamera with 24in Forgiato Aguzzo Wheels and Forgiato Grille

Porsche Panamera with 24in Forgiato Aguzzo Wheels and Forgiato Grille

This Panamera is wearing 24 inch Forgiato Aguzzo Wheels with a matching Forgiato Grille.

Porsche Cayenne Turbo with 22in Savini SV42C Wheels

Porsche Cayenne Turbo with 22in Savini SV42C Wheels

Porsche Cayenne Turbo with 22in Savini SV42C Wheels

And this Cayenne is sitting on 22 inch Savini SV42C Wheels. Not bad, but I'm really not a fan of that spoiler. Spoilers on SUVs... that's a no no. Looking good guys

Bernie's Favorite: MC Customs Shows off a Boss 302 Ford Mustang

Dec 11, 2012

YES!!!!! Miami's own, MC Customs, released photos of a Ford Mustang Boss (NY accent version: Bowse) 302 sitting on Savinis.

Ford Mustang Boss Edition in black = a girl in love.

Recapping the Dub Magazine Project: Season 2, Episode 7

This week would be the third week that Machine Gun Kelly was the host. Overall, he’s doing good. I thought he was going to start jumping around and acting crazy… But I saw him in that Swift Car… of course, I was paying more attention on the car.

The first segment goes to my Italian crush, DJ Pauly D. If you’re in Vegas, you can catch him at Hard Rock Hotel where he works at Vanity… as the resident DJ. He continues by saying how much he loves cars, and he’s driving around Vegas in a 2011 Mercedes S500, and yes, that’s the one that Will Castro customized. I still don’t like the Pauly D on the trunk of the car.

Cullen Jones looking mighty comfy in a Rolls Royce Ghost. Far cry from that 92 Toyota Camry that was his first car. Didn’t know he’s originally from Jersey, but at the age of 5 he almost drowned, but at 8, he went back to the sport that almost killed him—swimming and stuck with it. He dropped some interesting statistics- 70% of African Americans can’t swim… and yes I am a part of that 70%. I went underwater and almost drowned a couple of times and that was enough for me. So Bernie's doesn't do large bodies of water... or a pool.

Of course, Dub Garage finished the cars for Tony Hawk, but the van still had some work to do.  Tony gave them three extra days and they were able to finish the van, giving him what he wanted- great sound system, off road tires, a ladder to reach the roof, and some storage space for skateboards, bags, etc. I’ve said it many times, but I’m so happy that Dub decided to work with multiple clients instead of one boring client because it shows all that they can do.

It’s Yo Gotti!!! As he rides around Memphis in a Jeep Wrangler… that has no doors on it. Watching him drive around in that doorless Wranger made me nervous. There’s too many “what if” factors. But he didn’t talk about cars soo…..

Jermaine Dupri is still the mayor of Atlanta??? Next!!!!

Macklemore. I like the name. I think he’s the first known rapper from the Northwestern part of the US. No matter how original he is, ironically, he’s driving around in a 1963 Cadillac Deville in Los Angeles.

Watch the episode now and sadly, the season finale is next week....

CarTunes of Atlanta shows off a Black and Pink Dodge Challenger

Awhile ago, CarTunes of Atlanta released photos of a Black and Pink Dodge Challenger. I do love crystals inside of a car, but that Chanel logo in the headrest looks a little hood. Well, I shouldn't say a little, it looks very hood.

I'm an Aquarius. I love originality, but then again, I live in a city where originality is rare. I'm over the whole fashion logos in a car. That trend doesn't need to ever come back.

ADV.1 Wheels Shows off a Lamborghini

The guys at ADV.1 Wheels released photos of a screaming loud green Lamborghini LP560. This 'ghini  is wearing a staggered set of 20 inch ADV5.2 Track Spec's. These wheels are finished with matte black spokes and titanium lips.

I really like that wall in the second photo.
