How to Cheapen a Bentley Continental GT by The Game

Jan 15, 2013

Photo by Jonathan Mannion... The Great
Los Angeles rapper The Game released a tragic photo yesterday. Before I get into the photo, let's recap  on The Game's last couple of cars.

He had the leather-wrapped Ferrari that you can't drive in the rain...

This wasn't bad... the Gold Porsche Panamera. It was different, but still tasteful. But somewhere after this Porsche and the reality show which I still didn't understand came this tragic mess...

Presenting a Orange 2013 Bentley Continental GT with a HORRID body kit and painted a HORRID color. Yes- how the car was painted looks great, but that color of a $165,000 (remember, this isn't the Flying Spur). I'm convinced that The Game has no real friends and only has yes men in his camp. And that Ladies and Gentlemen is a prime example of how to cheapen a Bentley.

Forgiato Shows off a Jaguar XJ

Dec 18, 2012

I'm gonna give Texas the benefit of the doubt. But ummm, Forgiato released these photos of a beautiful Jaguar XJ paired up with their Maschili Wheels. The end result...

The wheels do not go with this car. That's why I'm not happy. The wheels would look great on a donk, not a luxury vehicle. But is this how Texas gets down???

Interesting Customization: Chrome wrapped Rolls Royce Phantom

Sep 25, 2012

Before I begin: automotive trends are not for every single vehicle. It didn't look bad on the Lamborghini Gallardo- which was still within the same price range of the Rolls Royce Phantom. I'll just show the photos...

*Sighs* I mean, it's just wrong. It was done right, but it shouldn't have been at all. It's too much car to wrap in chrome, and yes, it's wrapped, but the chrome wrap cheapened this Phantom. And when the customizations take away from the value- then it's labeled as a bad customization. Whhhhyyyyyyyy Roadstarr, why????????????

P.S. The wheels are Forgiato's Fiore Wheels in 24 inches. I was so distracted by the plummeting value of the Phantom.

Yaaay!!! LA Cops Seizes Will.I.Am's Ugly DeLorean

Jun 20, 2012

For the first time EVER, Los Angeles Police Department have done something right. Earlier this year, Will.I.Am had the stupid idea to start an automotive company that produces ugly vehicles like the one pictured above. Anyone with vision can see that this is one ugly car.

So a few days ago, Will.I.Am is driving around LA and he gets stopped. Cop asked for license and registration, and he could only produce one out of two of those items. It turns out that he couldn't provide plates, registration, or even a VIN for the car. Ipso facto, it was extremely illegal to drive. AND... authorities did a little research and found out the parts on the custom car haven't been registered for about 10 years. If LAPD is smart, they would drop it off at a chop shop and keep it moving. But LA doesn't have a mafia presence (only gangs), so there goes that idea.

P.S. Hey LAPD, could you be nice and give him back the Beats by Dre speakers? That's the only great thing about the car.

Interesting Customization: Tyga's Audi R8

Feb 24, 2012

In a photo shoot with Dub Magazine, Roadstarr Motorsports customized an Audi R8 for Young Money's Tyga. Ummm, I'm not going to say much because if you don't have anything nice to say, you shouldn't say anything at all.

This particular Audi R8 will never have the same impact as the Chrome Audi Tron by West Coast Customs. Nuff said. It'll grab attention. I'm hoping it'll look better in person, but probably not.

Oh no! Did this Bentley Continental have to suffer?

Jan 31, 2012

I don't like body kits. I'm a very aesthetic person and a firm believer that not everything is made for everything. Which brings me back to my issue with body kits. On the right vehicle, it'll look great.... on the RIGHT vehicle.

While on Forgiato's site, I came across a once beautiful Bentley Continental GT, with some bad modifications. Body kits and luxury cars do not mix well together. I feel it cheapens the vehicle, and who wants to cheapen a $200,000 car? The only thing I like happens to be the wheels- Forgiato 22″ Ottos.

Have I mentioned lately how much I despise body kits? This was almost as heartbreaking as Robinson Cano putting a body kit on a Range Rover...

*Blank Stare* Will.I.Am starts IAMAUTO, an automotive monstrosity

Jan 9, 2012

So... Will.I.Am had a bright idea that since he had enough money, he can open up an automotive company. The first car from the company, IAMAUTO, is very futuristic yet trendy. The car features a Beats By Dre sound system and was constructed using OEM parts from Chrysler. The purpose behind everything is “I invested my money in building my own vehicle ’cause I want to bring jobs to the ghetto where I come from,” he said.

I think he should have kept his money. Even though he wants to bring jobs back to East Los Angeles, and that's very commendable, but let's be honest- would you buy the car above? Or... Would you be seen in this?

West Coast Customs Presents a Cadillac Escalade

Jan 2, 2012

Normally I'm intrigued by the projects that West Coast Customs complete, but this one isn't my cup of tea.

A client came to West Coast Customs asking for wheels and tires to their Escalade and Ryan and his crew gave them what they wanted: "A Donked Out Escalade". And yes, this is West Coast Customs in Southern California, not West Coast Customs in Jacksonville, Florida.

(Of course they had to do perform cosmetic surgery for the wheels to fit)

I'm at a loss for words. However, seeing this Cadillac Escalade EXT made me appreciate Young Dro's Escalade much more...

Oh No! How to Make A Nissan Juke Ugly By Impul

Jun 7, 2011

I noticed this hot mess on Car and Driver's site. Normally I'm all for customizations as well as anything that has to do with the Nissan Juke. HOWEVER, I do have one requirement: At the very least, make it look good. Case in point:

The person to blame is Kazuyoshi Hoshino. The man responsible for the Calsonic Nissan racers familiar to Gran Turismo aficionados worldwide, Hoshino also runs Impul, a tuning house specializing in Nissan products. While the actual power figures are unknown, Impul’s Juke package apparently includes a software upgrade for both the turbo and the we-don’t-get-it-here naturally aspirated 1.6. What is visible is an obnoxious wing, a grille where it looks like it was stolen for Hyundai, and a lower-body kit that presumably somehow improves downforce. The only thing that looks decent on this tragic vehicle is the wheels. The new 19 inch wheels are outfitted by 245/40 tires, which replaced the factory 17 inch wheels. Of course, the Asanti AF143's would have looked better.

You know what? Let me finish my rant and raving about this. Rear spoilers do not look good on vehicles that are bigger, or in this case taller, than a full size car. It never looks good. I hate body kits on 75% of all vehicles anyway, so yes this falls in the 75 percentile. If you're going to customize a car, please do not jack, steal, borrow a grille from another car manufacturers, and not change it. You can see the H in the grille. I would have chose a better set of wheels to be honest. The only thing I liked is the Juke... when it was a factory vehicle, and the pinstriping that says Impul. Everything else? Fuhgeddaboudit (Forget about it in my native tongue).

Seriously, this is a boiling hot ass mess. Kazuyoshi Hoshino: I'mma need you to do better.

Dartz Presents the Iron Diamond... Why?

Apr 26, 2011

Allegedly, this SUV is designed for women. What women are they referring to because I'm not liking it, not one bit. Originally, I was going to show you the entire press release to this monstrosity I mean vehicle, but after I sat down and read it, I decided against it.

According to Dartz, this is the world's First SUV - Safety Uberluxury Vehicle created for ladies by ladies. I'm suspecting that they were probably blind ladies.

However, the last sentence of the press release that a 4th grader wrote happened to be:

Stay tuned - new trends are coming from DARTZ as Vodka and Girls fuel our brains!!!

They should have excluded the last sentence because apparently these women were drunk off of Vodka when they designed this. If women want a safe SUV: they should get it bulletproofed. If they want a safe SUV that doesn't look like everyone else's: they should get it bulletproofed and customized cause this (see photo above) is not it. Bernie will pass... And if what I happened to write ends up in Dartz's hands, make sure this is correctly translated for them. Let them know that no women with eyesight is interested.

I guess if you have money and no design experience, that automatically makes you a designer.

P.S. Doesn't Dwight Howard drive a vehicle like this?
