Bernie's Car Show Coverage: 2018 Whips By Wade's Certified Summer Car Show

May 23, 2018

Last Sunday, fellow automotive photographer, Whips By Wade held his first annual Certified Summer Car Show. Now, I had a long time rule to never attend a first annual show. I've been let down in the past, and I would rather wait for the second annual show... if there is one. However, there was an exception to the rule and it was printed on the flyer...

... and I quote "No stock cars or unfinished projects allowed in show area." I shed a tear the first time I read that. Fast forward to Sunday, May 20th, when I arrived at the old Turner Field stadium which is now known as the Georgia State Stadium. I didn't know what to expect, but I did the one thing I could do- show up with a camera and an open mind. And I'm glad I did.

I ran into some familiar faces and cars and was introduced to some new faces and new cars. There were donks, boxes, trucks with lifted suspension, lowriders, cars on Forgiato, Amani Forged, or Dub Wheels, American muscle cars (Chevelles, Camaro, etc) and more (The "and more" includes the 15% of the cars that didn't fit in these categories.

All in all, it was a great show. Let's just hope that the second annual Certified Summer car show will be rain free. To see the rest of the photos, check out Bernie's Whips By Wade's Certified Summer Car Show gallery.

Bernie's Car Show Coverage: Photos from the 2018 Dub Car Show: Charlotte

May 10, 2018

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Dub Car Show in Charlotte, NC. I've been to Charlotte before, but this was the first time I've been there for a car show.  Only four hours north of Atlanta, this was the closest Dub Show to my house. Thank goodness I took the trip.

I had a great time at the show. I had the opportunity to meet some people and photograph some great cars. Ultimate Audio of South Carolina brought some great looking cars. It was the first time I had the chance to see their work in person.

Another shop that had a large presence was the Rim Shop of Charlotte. Their booth had an all white theme, however as I was walking around the show, I noticed that some of their cars were parked in other booths as well.

To sum up what was at the show: there were a lot of cars with great paint jobs, a lot of vehicles on Forgiato wheels, some great lowriders, plenty of American Muscle cars, and a lot of trucks- both  lowered and on lifts. I think I pretty much described about 75% of the vehicles at the show.

I had a great time at the show and to see more photos, check out Bernie's Dub Car Show: Charlotte gallery.
