Last Sunday, fellow automotive photographer, Whips By Wade held his first annual Certified Summer Car Show. Now, I had a long time rule to never attend a first annual show. I've been let down in the past, and I would rather wait for the second annual show... if there is one. However, there was an exception to the rule and it was printed on the flyer...
... and I quote "No stock cars or unfinished projects allowed in show area." I shed a tear the first time I read that. Fast forward to Sunday, May 20th, when I arrived at the old Turner Field stadium which is now known as the Georgia State Stadium. I didn't know what to expect, but I did the one thing I could do- show up with a camera and an open mind. And I'm glad I did.
I ran into some familiar faces and cars and was introduced to some new faces and new cars. There were donks, boxes, trucks with lifted suspension, lowriders, cars on Forgiato, Amani Forged, or Dub Wheels, American muscle cars (Chevelles, Camaro, etc) and more (The "and more" includes the 15% of the cars that didn't fit in these categories.
All in all, it was a great show. Let's just hope that the second annual Certified Summer car show will be rain free. To see the rest of the photos, check out Bernie's Whips By Wade's Certified Summer Car Show gallery.
