Bernie's Car Show Coverage: 2014 Forgiatofest Show

Apr 30, 2014

On April 26th, I had the opportunity to attend my first Forgiatofest in Miami, FL. Located in Miami Beach Convention Center, cars from as far west as California (TS Designs and Xplicit Car Club brought some toys), from as far north as Ohio (thanks to Spademade), from as close as the other side of Miami (thanks to MC Customs and Exclusive Motoring), and all points in between joined together to show the one common goal- their love for Forgiato Wheels... and Grilles and Steering Wheels.

Aside from this being my first Forgiatofest, this was also my first car show in South Florida. Get ready for this coverage, because not only will you see Rolls Royces, but there will be some donk-inspired vehicles.

Bernie's Car Show Coverage: 2014 New York International Auto Show

Apr 23, 2014

Last week I covered the 114th New York International Auto Show. I always love to go back home, especially if I can cover one of the world's best auto shows. In 2013, I covered the auto show, but it was the last three days so that I could go to New York's tour stop of the Dub Car Show. This year, I went as a part of media and I got to see the show before it was opened to the public. I did give a sneak peek on my instagram (@CarShowBernie), however I'm about to show my better quality photos.

The top three things everyone was looking forward to seeing at the 2014 New York International Auto Show was....

The BMW Lineup. 50th Anniversary of the Ford Mustang, and the US Debut of the Alfa Romero.

But, I'm showing off everything.

One of the vehicles Porsche brought was the 2015 Porsche Macan S, a slightly smaller answer to the Cayenne. 3.0 Liter twin turbo V6 engine with 340 horsepower/339 lb-ft of torque, top speed of 156 mph, and 0-60 mph in 5.6 seconds. MSRP: $50,000 for the base model.

This was the best passenger friendly vehicle, the Porsche Panamera S. I like that the back seat has a complete set of controls to make sure they're equally comfortable.

In case if you don't want the power of the W12 engine, Bentley brought their new Flying Spur V8 vehicle. However, the Bentley that won my heart over was...

The Bentley Continental GTC Speed with a top speed of 340 MPH.

I'm seriously going to have to get use to seeing the new body of the Cadillac Escalade. Maybe it'll grow on me, but it's going to take awhile.

I did develop a crush on the Mercedes Benz CLA-Class. The body was close to it's older sibling, the CLS-Class, but the CLA is the entry level to that class. MSRP is... $30,000, but for the one that I photographed, $32,000. The wheels in my head are turning, but I would prefer the missing performance that the CLS63 AMG provides.

My love, the Mercedes Benz CLS63 AMG.

The redesign of the Chrysler 200 was much needed and well deserved.

A car show in Manhattan will never be complete without a Bugatti. The majority of New Yorkers may not have a license, but there are quite a few that can afford the car above.

Rolls Royce brought three vehicles: A Wraith (Note: the interior was so comfortable.), the Drophead above and...

Rolls Royce introduced the Ghost II.

He's finally here, the new Alfa Romero 4C. However, it was hard for me to get in and out of gracefully.

The other vehicle that was impossible to get out of gracefully... the BMW i8. But this car was definitely the talk of New York.

And the number one vehicle that matters...

The 2015 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT.

I will add more and more photos to this post, so don't be surprised if there's another version or three. But for now, you can check out Bernie's 2014 New York International Auto Show Coverage.

Keep Up With Bernie at the 2014 New York Auto Show

Apr 15, 2014

It's that time of year again. April 16th 2014 marks the start of the 2014 New York International Auto Show, and I will be there for the press days. Follow me @CarShowBernie on Instagram where I will be posting sneak peeks of what I've been looking forward to seeing. From the new Nissan Murano to the Mercedes S63 AMG, to the Alfa Romero debut, to the 25 year retrospective of the Mazda Miata,  to the massive, all-new BMW lineup, I will be showing it all.

And I will definitely make my way to the Empire State Building, where Ford will be displaying a 2015 Mustang on the top.

P.S. Based on the many articles I've read leading up to the event, the two most anticipated sites will be: BMW's entire lineup and the Alfa Romero.

Bernie's Car Show Coverage: 2014 Import Alliance Spring Meet

Apr 14, 2014

The weekend of March 29 and March 30, Import Alliance held their Spring Meet. March 29 was an awful day, well the weather was awful so the turnout wasn't great. Luckily the weather cleared the next day so Import Alliance was able to have one good day. Also, thank goodness the Atlanta Motor Speedway doesn't have speedbumps. Otherwise, most of these cars would have been screwed. Well enough talking, time for you to see some photos...
