Bernie's Car Show Coverage: Photos from Caffeine and Exotics: June 2018

Jun 15, 2018

On June 10th, 2018, Caffeine and Exotics held their second show of the year. Held in the main parking lot of Atlanta’s Lenox Square Mall, Caffeine and Exotics is the younger, more exclusive sibling to Caffeine and Octane.

Caffeine and Exotics had plenty of high end vehicles for spectators to admire. From classic Mercedes Benz cars, M-Series BMWs, Lamborghini Huracans, Gallardos, Aventadors, and Murcielagos, McLaren 570s and 720s, a trio of Porsche Carrera GTs, to a 2014 Ferrari FF that's can be yours for the low, low price of $195,000, there was more than enough to keep the attendees entertained.

Bernie's Car Show Coverage: Some Classic Cars from Coffee and Chrome

Jun 14, 2018

Last Saturday, I actually woke up early enough in time to make it to Coffee and Chrome. Coffee and Chrome is a morning car and motorcycle show that’s every second Saturday right outside of Atlanta, in Hapeville, GA.

Coffee and Chrome is definitely smaller than shows that I normally attend, however the cars that do come are seasoned vehicles that you really don’t get to see everyday, especially in the condition that the owner keeps it in. Let’s be clear, the owners of the vehicles keep them in such an immaculate condition.

Bernie's Car Show Coverage: Photos from Caffeine and Octane: June 2018

Jun 7, 2018

Can't believe that 2018 is halfway over. This past Sunday, Caffeine and Octane held their sixth show of 2018. Held at the Perimeter Mall outside of Atlanta in Dunwoody, Georgia, Caffeine and Octane allows car enthusiasts from all over to bring their cars and to show them off.

This Caffeine and Octane was a little bit different... just a little bit. At every show, you can expect Porsche to have a presence. One of the sponsors of the show happens to be Porsche Atlanta Dealership and they always bring vehicles for the crowd to enjoy and some Porsche owners park their personal cars in the Porsche lot as well...

But there were still more Porsches than usual and I think that the guest of honor has a lot to do with it. Yes, the Porsche Sensei himself, Magnus Walker came to Caffeine and Octane. Let's backtrack for a quick second- I referred to him as the Porsche Sensei because the definition of a Sensei is one who comes before. However, in general usage, it means to show respect to someone who has achieved a certain level of mastery in some other skill.

Although I left Caffeine and Octane way before Magnus did, the interesting part of all was that he did the one thing he's been doing for decades- appreciated the many Porsches (especially the ones with the 911 body) that showed up and bonded with the owners of each and every Porsche. Aside from that, he also conversed and took photos with many of the spectators there. It's always great to meet another automotive enthusiast- slightly different niche but it's within the same industry.
