Busted Biebs' Lamborghini Gallardo
Jan 24, 2014
Lately, the Biebs has been in the news- of course it's all negative. At 4:11 am on January 23rd, Justin was arrested for speeding, DUI, resisting arrest (might I add, he cursed out a cop), and driving with an expired GA license, thus producing this lovely mugshot above.
Right before the arrest, Justin and his friends were in SET nightclub in Miami Beach, FL. They decided to leave and had the idea to drag race, even though they were drunk. Police saw them driving about 60 mph in a 30 mph zone, and well you know the rest. Why am I telling this story? Because I'm here to talk about the car. (Side note: I did 55 in a 35 mph residental area, and the officer let me go with a warning.)
Justin was speeding in this loud yellow 2014 Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Spyder, rented from Miami's LouLaVie, an exotic car rental company. To rent, the car would cost about $1200-$1800 a day, with a $5000 deposit down. MSRP about $210,000- $250,000. 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds with a V-10 engine that can put out 550 horsepower, and if you're wondering what the MPG is, then this car is definitely out of your league.
Oh and..... A source told People Magazine that he cried in the detention center. His bail was $2500. Can't be gangsta crying in the courtroom, Biebs. And yes, Justin Bieber's rap sheet is officially longer than mine. Do you think he learned from this?
Before the crash: Wiz Khalifa's 1969 Chevy Chevelle
Nov 14, 2012
West Coast Customs has gained a new client, Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa. Because of the success of his debut song "Black and Yellow", he has a Dodge Challenger ironically painted Black and Yellow. He purchased a 1969 Chevy Chevelle, and took it to West Coast Customs. As usual, Ryan and his crew put a lot of love into this project, but their efforts went so unappreciated.... Here's the photos that West Coast Customs released.
And then Wiz crashes it, but at least Ryan got paid.
How to drive during downpours
Jun 1, 2012
Because I suffer from brontophobia, I go to weather.com religiously. Aside from telling me when it's going to storm so I can hide from it, they also give useful tips about driving in such unfavorable conditions. Below is a video to how to drive during downpours. But if you're like me, then you just stop at gas stations or bookstores and wait until it passes over. Anyway...
Yes I know that this is Driving 101, but hey, there's someone out there who hydroplanes on the regular.
Sallas Auto Repair’s Ten Tips for Winter Driving
Dec 6, 2011
(Notice how I used a Bentley Continental in snow)
Sallas Auto Repair in Kansas City, MO released their Ten Steps for Preparing a Vehicle for Winter. And I would follow this list because Kansas City knows a thing or two about preparing for winter.
“Over the years I’ve had many customers come in with problems that could have been easily avoided if they would have readied their vehicles for winter. Most of the steps to winterize a car are easy, and take very little time,” said Nick Sallas, owner of sallasauto.com
Ten Steps for Preparing a Vehicle for Winter
1. Evaluate the Car Tires.
Sallas explains that old tires (over seven years) run the risk of drying out and cracking in cold temperatures. Tires need ample tread to avoid hydro planning and sliding on ice and snow. Tire pressure must also be checked since cold weather can deflate tires.
2. Get the Antifreeze Mixture Right.
Vehicles need a mixture of 50-50 (antifreeze and water) in order to protect the motor from freezing and cracking. This needs to be 35 degrees below zero.
3. Clean the Car Battery.
Clean battery posts with baking soda, water and a small wire brush for proper maintenance and to extend battery life.
4. Replace Wipers & Wiper Fluid.
The life expectancy of wipers is only one year. Add wiper fluid in winter that contains a de-icer to prevent freezing on the windshield.
5. Check Belts & Hoses.
Cold weather can make a hose, or belt, fail. These parts need to be checked during vehicle servicing.
6. Test the Heater & Defrost.
These systems keep windshields clear when driving in precipitation. Check them for ample air pressure.
7. Keep your Gas Tank Full.
A full gas tank prevents gas lines from freezing when the temperature drops.
8. Carry an Emergency Kit for Winter.
Emergency kits for winter need to include: an ice scraper and brush; flashlight; flares; a first aid kit; blanket; gloves; boots; hats; warm clothes; snacks and water; jumper cables; paper towels and extra wiper fluid.
9. Know What to Do If Stranded.
A vehicle that is stranded, but still runs, can withstand the heater on for 10 minutes each hour. A stranded car needs a cracked window so that the car isn’t sealed shut.
10. Wax the Vehicle.
Waxing a vehicle twice per year will protect it from sun and salt. This can be done at home, or by an auto repair shop’s detail specialist. This prevents rust and paint chipping.

I guess Paris Hilton will be looking for a new driver...
May 27, 2011
According to TMZ, a driver was attempting to take a black SUV out of the driveway, and instead hit the beloved Pink Bentley Continental GT that the West Coast Customs crew customized. Damages are roughly $5000.
I may not agree with the color scheme, but it's literally the best Bentley Continental GT out.
*sighs* Such a beautiful car...

The driver of this Bugatti Veyron tried to pass a truck at 125 mph and crashed into a car instead. For the value of the damages, guess what brand new luxury car can you buy and still have about $50,000 left over??? Give up, click here...

Part V of Wrecked Exotics and the Rolls Royce Phantoms That Met With An Early Death
May 18, 2011
I haven't visited the Wrecked Exotics website in awhile, and I see that not much has changed. It's sad that people would shamelessly total an exotic vehicle.
The luxury car that's on display today will be the Rolls Royce Phantom, where the suggested MSRP is roughly a half a million dollars. But some people don't care, and looked what happened to them...
I wanted to show the worse ones of the bunch. The majority of the damaged Phantoms weren't bad. You could still operate them, but then again, who wants to drive a scratched Phantom. For the story, just click on the photos.
I'm positive that this was the only Phantom in Jackson, Mississippi...
This is NOT the result of a bitter chick seeing revenge.
Someone in Russia abandoned a customized Phantom Centurion...
If I were in this situation, the cops would have been pulling me off of the person who hit me.
Russia's hood. Owners of Phantoms getting into shootouts...
Note to self: Do not compete in the Gumball 3000 Rally in a Phantom. Or if I do, do not crash into a guardrail.
This didn't happen in the United States...
All I could do is shake my head or text messaging language "SMH"

In Loving Memory Of....
Apr 28, 2011
First things first, I do apologize for being missing in action, but something came up, and that's the reason for this post and you know there had to be something for me to miss going to New York.
Ever since the existence of Doing Donuts With Bernie, I expressed my love of a particular vehicle... my own. I've created a blog post about him, I've mentioned him in several, several posts. And I quote from the post "I consider my 2003 GMC Envoy SLT my baby. Sounds weird, but I can trust my truck more easily than I can with most people." I bought him on the Monday that Martin Luther King Day is celebrated in 2007 from Critz GMC in Savannah, GA.
Well, on April 26th at 8:45pm, I was involved in a hit and run in midtown Atlanta. The guys driving "stolen" a 2008 Red Nissan Sentra with the license plate "Lil Fly" (registered in Fulton County in Georgia) made a left in front of me. They saw me coming, but decided to make the left anyway. I swerved as much as I could, but what I tried to do wasn't enough, and I was hit on my right front fender (sounds more minor than what it really was). The "thieves" took off as far as they could to a Rite Aid shopping center, abandoned the vehicle, leaving me on Monroe Drive in shock and anger, having my three witnesses comforting me.
My insurance company rendered my ROS (Ray of Sunshine) a total loss. If you take a look above, I lost half of my bumper, a fog light, my hood was hit, my right front fender is touching my tire, I couldn't open my passenger door all the way, my head light glass broke, my parking light glass was broken, the right chrome part of my grille is gone, my radiator was busted because it was leaking, and I'm sure there's more under the hood that suffered. I know some people were calling me that fixes cars by the tow yard. I'm a highly selective person. I don't go to people in the hood to fix cars because they may be cheap, but they won't go a good job. You'll have to go back there more times than necessary. I rather spend the money for it to be done right. But I can't spend the money to fix him, the insurance company is rendering him as done.
I labeled this post as "Stupid People" because my insurance company heard from the owner of the Sentra. She said herself, and told the owner that his story doesn't sound right. Something isn't right in his story. It's full of bull and he'll be called out on it.
But this post isn't about the ignorance of those who live in this world, it's about my loss. I didn't see getting a new vehicle in the near future. I did put that I wanted to customize my truck, I even wrote that I didn't want to trade him. He's taken me up and down the Eastern Seaboard, to Louisville, to Memphis, and most importantly, mix him with my strong will is what got me out of Savannah, GA.
All I could do was cry... I know some people say "It's just a car", but he wasn't. I loved him. Despite these high gas prices, I made sure he had gas, I kept him maintained. Just like me, he didn't look his age. He was 8, but the only way you knew that was that he had both a tape and CD player, if you looked at his high miles (He went out with almost 188,000 miles), or if you ran his VIN. I could easily fool people cause I took pride in how he looked, even if he was stock and only had window decals on him. It was me and my truck, until a few days ago. I may have walked away unscathed, but I lost a piece of me.
I'm holding back the tears as I typed this, because I hate that I had to suffered for other's ignorance. If you gonna take something from me, go for something I could care less about. I don't get attached to people or things easily, but I loved and miss my 2003 GMC Envoy.
He survived in the Bronx but it took an drunken, ignorant, Southern "I drive a Nissan Sentra" smuck to take him out of this world. And because of that smuck, I couldn't go back home (New York) and had to miss the New York Auto Show. You took my truck and you temporarily took New York away from me, as GOD as my witness, you will pay.

Uh Oh! Nissan Recalls Almost 200,000 Pathfinders and Infiniti QX4s
Apr 25, 2011
A few months ago, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced an investigation into corrosion problems in older Nissan SUVs. There were 35 cases reported of excessive rusting, with 18 of those cases leading to steering issues.
(2000 Nissan Pathfinder)
This recall currently affects those with the 1997- 2003 Infiniti QX4 and the 1996-2004 Nissan Pathfinder in which the SUV was originally sold or currently registered in the following states:
Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington DC, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. As you can see, these are all states that have heavy concentrations of road salt that's used.
(1999 Infiniti QX4)
A mixture of water and salt could enter an assembly location hole in the upper strut housing, causing water to collect at the mating surface of the strut housing panel and the inner hood ledge assembly. Over time, this water and salt combo could result in corrosion of the strut tower housing in the vehicles affected above.
What happens if you don't get it checked out?
I'm glad you asked. The strut housing could crack and pull away from the inner hood ledge assembly. This may lead to grinding noises, increased steering effort, and possibly the steering column to break, resulting in the loss of steering control, which basically equals a car accident.
If you're not sure if this affects you, do yourself a favor and call Nissan at 1-800-647-7261.

Customization Gone Wrong, the Canadian Version...
Apr 18, 2011
Ottawa police were doing roadblocks and checking seatbelts as a part of their Spring Seatbelt Campaign. Everything was going good until they came across a green Chevy minivan.
Apparently the van didn't have an actual seat that goes into a car, instead they use a regular armchair (yes, the ones that you put in your living room), and it wasn't bolted down to the van. Which means if that van stops short or makes any other sudden movements, that passenger may not live to see tomorrow.
I've seen some interesting customizations, like a trash bag where the window use to be, but to put a arm chair where a seat use to be? You might as well make them sit on the floor. At least that's somewhat safer.
Hey Ottawa... I'mma need you to do better and get it together.
I'm Moving to Texas!!!!
Apr 11, 2011
Not really, but I know that there's a few people in Atlanta that would be happy if I did.
According to the hot guys at Automotive Addicts.com, Texas will become the first state that would allow a STATE-WIDE speed limit increase to 85 mph. Currently, the two states that allow an 80 mph speed limit is Montana and Wyoming.
If you know how to handle high speeds, ESPECIALLY around curves, go for it. But if the drivers are anything like the state I live in, you know those who think they can drive fast, but they lose control around 75 mph.
Of course, that won't happen in Georgia. All these non-driving people here, getting into accidents on a dry surface. That's why I'm still suffering with the "super speeder law". Rookies...

Oh Atlanta, Snow is not your friend.
Jan 10, 2011
Last night, the metro Atlanta area got hit with some snow. Five inches to be exact. The way to tell if people know how to drive is how they react on ice. If you don't know how to drive on ice, then your vehicle will look like this Honda.
If you get into a sticky situation where you are on ice and you're losing control of your vehicle, remember to don't put your foot on the break or the gas petal and slowly, I repeat, slowly turn the vehicle towards the side of the street you are suppose to be on.
This happened to me last night, driving home from a recording studio. I was on ice, my Envoy is not an All Wheel Drive one. The ice was up the street from my house and I lost control for a few seconds, but best believe when I say that I gained it back and he's down stairs in a parking space covered in snow without any dents.
If you can remember that simple rule, you're good.

Top 10 Worst Cities for Traffic According to the Weather Channel.
Oct 26, 2010
The Atlanta-based Weather Channel has released the list for the top 10 worst cities for traffic. Although I agree with one of the cities, there's about 7 cities that I haven't had the pleasure of driving in. But the irony is that all of the cities except for number 2 and 1, you HAVE to HAVE a CAR to GET AROUND.
10. Detroit, MI. The center of the American auto industry comes in at #10 in the list of cities in which commuters spend the most time stuck in traffic.
9. San Diego, CA. The San Diego-Carlsbad-San Marcos metropolitan area has a population of around 3-million. It's the 17th largest metro area in the nation, but it ranks #9 for its traffic time delays.
8. San Jose, CA. The third largest city in its own state, but the tenth largest in the entire nation.
7. Orlando, FL. I guess rushing to see Mickey Mouse creates traffic.
6. Dallas-Fort Worth, TX. The 12 counties that make up the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitan area have a total population of around 6.3-million. It is also the fastest growing metro area in the country.
5. San Francisco and Oakland. No comment.
4. Houston, TX. I guess if you're still tipping on four-fours, you holding up traffic.
3. Atlanta, GA. I guess they based the study on Sunny Mondays. But when it's raining, Friday afternoons, Fridays before Holiday weekends, and those Tuesdays where it takes you an hour to get to a location where it only should take 15 mins, Atlanta should be number 1. And I've said this before: I blame all the Gwinnett County, Cobb County, Clayton County and all those who don't have Fulton and Dekalb County plates cause you can't drive and you're the ones who cause me to have to sit in traffic. Most of Atlanta can't handle metro city driving. See my previous posts about Atlanta and their no driving suburban drivers as well as driving tips in Atlanta.
2. Washington DC. I've been to DC many times, and I've driven through DC too. Yet I haven't experienced any traffic.
1. Los Angeles metropolitan area. Although I haven't been to LA yet (but my day is coming) this seems to be the only city listed with a decent public transportation system. Then again, not every city can have an MTA system. I think I'm the only person waiting to experience LA traffic. We'll see on my birthday...
You notice how the biggest metropolitan city in the entire country isn't on this list. In New York, you can get by without driving, or having a license. Don't believe me? Just ask my cousin- he JUST got his license and we're the same age. Ask my sister too, since she has her license for identification purposes.

Hey Georgia, Let's See How Long This Lasts...
Jul 8, 2010
Photo lifted from sowegalive.com*Sighs* I've spent seven years in the state of Georgia (yet I still have my New York accent and I'm happy for it), and the one thing I've noticed that the state will enforce a law and then about 2-3 months later, you won't hear about it. Remember the whole 35% tint law and the Super Speeder Law??? Yeah, where are those???
Now, according to Michelle from Straight From Tha A.com, effective on July 1st, Georgia officially banned texting, sending e-mails, and checking the internet while driving, and if you'se get caught, that's an extra $150 fine, and a point on your license. (If we're talking about points on licenses, then I would be the player with the highest MPG...)
There's no need to copy and paste the content from Michelle's blog onto here, just click on Straight From Tha A. If they ban talking on the phone and driving, I'm gonna be mad. It'll be like living in New York, the only difference is... let me stop.
I'm mad because unlike teenage girls, I don't get lost in my phone. I don't get distracted over phone calls when I'm in the 'Voy. I don't stare at my phone when I use it. But of course, I have to pay for others' mistake.
How to Drive in Atlanta, By A Proud Yankee...

Driving isn’t hard. If you are intimidated by driving, then don’t drive. Get a state issued ID that looks just like a license (Note: I know they have them in NY but not sure about GA).
Driving still isn’t hard. It’s just people make it harder on other folks.
Driving Offense Number 1 and this is major… because if people would stop doing this mess, there would be less accidents on the road.
Highways have multiple lanes, and those lanes have names. The right lane is called the Slow Lane. Those who drive a little slower than the speed limit should ONLY drive in those lanes. The middle lane, is for those who can do the speed limit, and the fast lane is for those who go over the speed limit.
If you can’t handle driving in the fast lane or the middle lane then don’t drive in it. You are creating potential accidents when you do so.
“Well how do you know if you can’t handle driving in that lane?” Glad you asked me. If you look in your mirror and there’s a line of cars behind you on your bumper, maybe you should move out of that lane and stop being an insensitive jerk and messing up other people.
Driving offense number 2: The whole “talking on your phone” topic is more for specific drivers. Personally, I can handle talking on the phone while driving because I don’t get lost in my conversations. Those who get more involved in phone conversations/conversations with people in the car shouldn’t drive and talk at the same time, because those type of people are the ones who don’t pay attention to the road.
Not every driver is the same. I can drive and talk SAFETY at the same time because: I don’t have to hold or look at the phone as I’m talking because of this wonderful invention called SPEAKERPHONE. Plus like I stated before, I don’t get lost in conversations. If you’re in the middle of an intense conversation, then PULL OVER.
Driving Offense Number 3: People not knowing where they’re going. Those who suck at reading directions, there’s a wonderful invention called a navigational system. USE IT, it’s not just for decoration.
Driving Offense Number 4: Driving fast during bad conditions… Slow down when it is raining, snowing, icy conditions, etc. When it is raining, people tend to drive faster than they would when it’s dry. Because they think they’re not gonna lose control in their pickup truck (I’m stereotyping against the hillbilly South, but it is the truth). So then when it rains, there’s 90 million accidents because a dummy was speeding in the rain, and if I’m on that same road, waiting to drive past the accident in traffic, I’m mad at the dummy because they’re making me late to an event, meeting, or going home to watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
I’m gonna be honest, when it’s a rainy day, and I don’t have to go out, I don’t go out because I’m not dealing with a bunch of accidents on the road. And if someone hits my ‘Voy, that same person will feel Bernie’s wrath- young or old.
And that my friends is what Bernie top 4 Driving Offenses that’s committed in Atlanta, and I’m sure they happen everywhere… And if I offended you, then quit crying and drive better. Doesn't it feel good to vent.
Best way to lower your insurance... and you'se don't have to leave home to do it

(Photo from http://www.nscddconline.com)Real talk, I'm gonna be honest and personal right now. And you'se might want to click on the above picture.
I bought my Envoy as a gift to myself for my 23rd birthday. I had to get a new insurance policy since all my previous cars were under my parents' policy. I'm not gonna disclose what my car payment is, but my insurance policy was MORE than my car note at $267... a month. Yes, that's $267 a month for a 23 year old female with a SUV living in Chatham County (GA), who took driver's ed.
Now let's get into what drove the price up. I got my license at the age of 18 in New York. In NY, my record was clean, but once I moved to Savannah, forget it. In 2005, I got a speeding ticket where I did 30 mph over the speeding limit. It was really 40, but I talked it down. Less than 8 weeks later, I got another one for 15 mph over the limit. Combine the two, and add a fine from an accident 2 years before and that's how I was quoted $267 through Geico.
I talked a friend of mine and he told me about how he took an online defensive driving course, and he has Geico as well. It lowered his considerably, and with his suggestion, I logged on to the same exact site, http://www.nscddconline.com, paid the $41.25 and took the test. It didn't take long, although I was a freaked out in the beginning because the first photo they showed was one of an Envoy that was in a bad car accident.
Once I completed it and got the certification in the mail, I called up good ol' Geico. Geico told me that taking the course did help my insurance rate. It went from $267 down to $137 a month.
Basically I spent $41.25, took an online course and PASSED, and saved over a $100 a month. Since then, I haven't had any speeding tickets, but I did have a little run-in with Gwinnett County 5-0, and switched over to Allstate where my insurance is down to $113 a month.
If I can take an online defensive driving course, passed, and saved money from it, anyone can. You may not have as many points as I do (does anyone have as many points as I do), but it doesn't hurt to inquire with your insurance company. Ask them if ________________ (insert insurance company here) honors National Safety Council site for Online Defensive Driving. I can tell you right now that Geico honors it.
I'm a very suspicious person, I've been swindled before, but this does work, and I do co-sign it.
Part III: Wrecked Exotics and the Porsche Cayennes That Resemble Bacon
Jun 3, 2010
So... I was cruising the Porsche Cayenne gallery on Wrecked Exotics site, and I'm a little scared. I don't know what is it about that vehicle that makes non-Americans lose their minds. The majority of the accidents were performed outside of the United States, Thank God.
The reason why I said that the Cayennes resemble bacon because a lot of them caught on fire. But there's an array of accidents so I decided to compose my top 10... and click on the photos to get the stories.

This was just dumb. Cayennes may be SUVs but they're not recommended for off-roading OR for heavy banks of snow. That's why they make H2s...

This is why I watch the service people when I get my vehicle service, and I suggest for you to do the same. If you don't, your vehicle could look like this Cayenne.

Watch it around loading ramps, cause if you don't.... Voila

An extra crispy Cayenne. So the owner was in the mall shopping and when they came outside, they found their Cayenne cooking. That sucks...

The driver had a choice of hitting a deer or driving into a swamp. Guess what they chose? Better them than me cause Bernie can't swim.

This is what happens when you loan your vehicle to someone who doesn't have insurance.

This Cayenne is done for.

Not all females are bad drivers, but she clearly is...

Another blackened Cayenne.

They say that a "container" fell from a truck onto the Cayenne. That container had to be a big gasoline-filled one.
I know I was going to highlight 10, but these final three though...

Of course, this went down outside of Boston. But this person crashed into the pole and they had to take the pole along with the car. So not only can they not play baseball, but... let me stop. But I'm not fond of Boston. Go Yankees!!!

This Cayenne rolled over and the top came off. But you know, it doesn't look bad as a convertible.

And this is why you don't get into fights with bouncers.
