The standard Super Snake package allows output from the supercharged 5.4-liter V-8 to go from 550 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque to an impressive 750 horsepower and 590 pound-feet. Or if you want even more horsepower, buyers can spend an extra $1500 for a polished Kenne Bell supercharger that allows that output to jump to 800 horsepower. This fine piece of machinery is car is legal in all 50 states AND it still takes pump-grade gasoline (premium grade, of course (93 grade, duh).
Additional extras on the 2012 Ford GT500 Super Snake include a six-speed manual transmission with short-throw shifter, forged Shelby/Baer brakes with six-piston calipers, and a one-of-a-kind fiberglass hood fashioned after the 1967 GT500. A handling pack, sourced from Ford Racing, throws in dynamic adjustable dampers, lowering springs, tuned stabilizer bars and a front strut tower brace as well.
