Bernie's Car Show Coverage: 2013 SEMA Show Day 2 (Sneak Peek)

Nov 11, 2013

Bernie's SEMA Coverage continues with the run down of Day 2...

I started out the show outside at the West Coast Customs' Experience area, and boy was it an experience. Taking advantage of the great weather, and hypnotized people by displaying great looking cars, West Coast Customs took over the area between the LVH and the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Unfortinately, WCC felt the need to bring Will.I.Am hidious Deloren. I don't know why, but this is a  classic case of "just because you have money, it doesn't mean you have great taste" mixed with "the customer isn't always right".

To make up for bring that monstracity, WCC brought noted vehicles like the rose gold Lamborghini  Aventador and Justin Bieber's leopard Audi R8. I'm sure the entire female population of New Jersey  would love the Bieb's R8.

But being the nice guys that they are, West Coast Customs shared the space with Onyx Concept Vehicles. Onyx brought with them a Range Rover, a Bentley Continental GT, a Porsche Cayenne, Range Rover Evoque, and the Porsche Panamera that's above.

Finally I went inside, and I was able to see the racing legend, Mario Andretti at the MagnaFlow booth. I didn't get the opportunity to meet him because his line was looooonnnnngggg. But he wasn't the only one who had a long line that day...

SEMA's Favorite Celebrity, the one and only Chip Foose, always has the longest lines. This line literally circled completely around the MagnaFlow booth-- and their booth isn't a tiny space either.

Between the South and Central Halls, Toyo Tires had a great size space, where they showed off some great looking vehicles. One of them happened to be a 2013 Subaru BRZ from Long Island, NY. I welcome any and every opportunity to show off vehicles from NY. Anyway, this BRZ's exterior is painted in LFA yellow paint, with a Varis wide body kit, and a Voltex Type 1S GT Spoiler. The interior has a Stack dash gauge cluster, GTSPEC Carbon Fiber Trims, Essex Roll Bar, Takata Harness, GTSPEC seat rails reinforcement brace, and Bride Stradia II Seats.

Another notable vehicle is this Liberty Walk 2008 Lamborghini Murcielago. Customizations include Widebody kit, front bumper type 2, front, side, and rear diffusors, rear bumper, rear wind version 3, and headlight trim all by Liberty Walk. From there, they added an IPE Exhaust with Liberty Walk Exhaust Tips, with LB Performance Wheels to round out the customizations.

Savini had a Lamborghini Aventador on a revolving platform in their space.

Giovanna Wheels had the same space that they had last year, especially because it works in their favor. On the spacious back wall, they showed off all of their wheels, and between the walkway and the wheels were a couple of million dollars in vehicles.

Models, models, and more models. Thank 2 Crave Wheels, Giovanna Wheels, and Forgiato Wheels.

Chevy's super spacious space had some noteworthy vehicles. The biggest headturner of all... this Corvette Stingray Gran Turismo Concept modeled after the Playstation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.

Look who I finally got to meet!!!

Yellow Lowrider truck outside.

And another Lowrider, but this one is an electric blue Impala. I love the colors.

This matte black Nemo truck had a lot of looks as well.

My day ended watching Vaughn Gittin Jr drifting in the Ford Racing space. First he did some solo drifting, then he did some tandom drifting, and showing off in the end by kicking up just a little bit of smoke. The little bit of smoke was purely sarcastic, but it was enough to force his drifting partner, Ryan Tuerck to drive out of the smoke.
