Top 20 Least Expensive Cars to Insure of 2014

I love lists like this one, that's why I always include them. Well, insure.com finally released their famous list of the top 20 least expensive cars to insure of this current year. It's the most useful list (aside from the safety rating one) because who really wants to spend a couple of thousand dollars in insurance... unless the vehicle is a luxury, exotic, or collectible one.

Insure.com had the hardest task of all. What they did was compare rates for every make, model and trim level of a car from the top 6 insurance carriers- Farmers, Geico, Progressive, Nationwide, State Farm, and my personal favorite, Allstate. Exotic cars were excluded, but more than 850 vehicles were researched. The averages were based on the following: full coverage for a single, 40 year old male, that drives 12 miles to work each day with the policy limits of 100/300/50 ($100,000 for injury liability for one person, $300,000 for all injuries, and $50,000 for property damage in an accident) and a $500 deductible on collision and comprehensive coverage. This driver also has a clean record and good credit and the rate also includes uninsured motorist coverage. This sounds like the driver is from Wyoming and lives in a town that has a higher population of animals than people. If you're a female that's over a decade younger than the hypothetical driver, that drives more than 12 miles to work each day, and doesn't have a clean record- just multiply the average rate by 2. Sorry, but I learned how to drive in New York, my driving record will NEVER be clean.

Update: Dub Magazine releases their 2014 Dub Car Show Schedule

Mar 4, 2014

It's finally here, and I'm truly shocked. Dub Magazine released their car show schedule for this year, and it's not as predictable as I thought. They kept the staple cities and added cities that haven't been on Dub's radar for a long, long time. Ready????

January 18- January 26 (my birthday, sorry.) Detroit, MI (Cobo Hall inside North American International Auto Show)

February 7- February 16: Philadelphia, PA (Philadelphia Convention Center inside the Philadelphia Auto Show)

April 6th: Los Angeles, CA (Los Angeles Convention Center)

April 19th: Columbus, OH (Columbus Convention Center)

April 25- April 27: Greatest City in the World- New York, NY (Jacob Javits Convention Center inside the New York International Auto Show)

May 17: Jackson, MS (Jackson Convention Center)

June 1: Dallas, TX (Dallas Convention Center)

**June 8: Chicago, IL (Soldier Field)

**June 29th: Somewhere in South Florida (Probably Miami; Location: TBD)

July 19: Raleigh, NC (Raleigh Convention Center)

**July: 19: Atlanta, GA (Georgia World Congress Center)

**August 3: Phoenix, AZ (Phoenix Convention Center)

**August 24: Sacramento, CA (Cal Expo Center)

Sept 7: Anaheim, CA (Angels Stadium)

Nov 4-7: Las Vegas, NV (Las Vegas Convention Center as major part of SEMA)

Update: All of the new stops have asterisks next to it and all of the cancelled shows are crossed out.

I'm still on the fence of which shows I will attend, but the last two I will definitely be in attendance. I'm not going to the New York one. I really think they should get rid of New York and bring back Englishtown, NJ. It's hard because I'm trying to attend more car shows outside of metro Atlanta this year. Sacramento does sound interesting and so does the Chicago one. In the past, Chicago has been an indoor show, but this year Dub is doing the show like the Anaheim show.

No matter how hard you try, the top three shows will always be Los Angeles, Anaheim, and Las Vegas with the number one show being Las Vegas.

Two videos were released of Ferrari 458s. The first video is a 458 Spider by Lexani Wheels. It has an all black finish with Lexani's LZ-101 Wheels.

So... both of these black 458s look great, but which one do you like the most- Lexani's 458 Spider or the Auto Firm's 458 Italia?
