On November 21st, I made my faithful return to Orlando for the season finale of the Big Rim Car Culture, known as Florida Classic Weekend.
We all know that Florida Classic Weekend has to do with a football game between FAMU and BC-U. However, you're reading a post from a person who doesn't care about football (I'm New York to the heart, and I still don't care about the Giants and the Jets), so to me, Florida Classic Weekend is about cars.
The weekend went as follows: Friday, I did drive by a few gas stations and saw some cars. However, Orlando PD was already parked and ready at gas stations, restaurants, liquor stores, and of course Magic Mall. Naturally, I went back to my Airbnb. Saturday morning around 10:30ish, I pulled up to 2155 West Colonial Dr, which is the address to Magic Mall with cash in hand and I parked right off to the side of the action.
Sunday had excellent weather as well, but Sunday is when the crowd splits up. Some people were at the racetrack, some were at Magic Mall, some went to the Riding Big Car Show, and some were across the street from the car show. I went to the Riding Big Car Show.
Even though Orlando PD has really cracked down on the excitement, I do feel that Florida Classic Weekend is an excellent way to end the 2025 car show season. To see the rest of the photos, check out Bernie's 2025 Florida Classic Weekend gallery.
