On an insanely hot June 22nd, 2024, I found myself at the Atlanta Expo Center South for the 2024 Certified Summer Car Show. Weather and the Certified Summer Car Show is like oil and water, but at least it didn't rain.
Unlike last year, I was way more prepared so that I didn't experience heat exhaustion again. Frozen water, my usual Yankees hat, a towel, and a fan kept me from spending most of the show in my car. Also special thanks to all of those who have given me water and those who have offered water as well.
Back to the show... in true Whips By Wade fashion, there were no shortage of cars that packed the lot. Donks, boxes, bubbles, g bodies, a bodies, f bodies, lifted trucks, lowered trucks, there was a shortage of lowriders but that was because of the show that was the next day, newer bodied American muscle, seasoned vehicles like Bel Airs (plenty of Bel Airs), a couple of tuner/imports and some luxury/exotic cars to round out the mix. Told you there was a mix of customized cars. However, what I care about the most is... even though I've been faithfully going to this show, there were still cars that I've never seen before.
