Recapping the 2010 Z Nationals

Oct 1, 2010

I decided to venture out to Carrollton, GA to the 2010 Z Nationals Car Show at the Z1 Motorsports. Z Nationals is an annual get-together of sorts. But it's a get-together for those who have and are very enthusiastic about 350Zs as well as cars from that immediate family.

My highlight to the show happened to be in the very beginning where you had to sign a wavier saying that you can't sue Z1 Motorsports if you happened to get injured at the car show, which clearly means that someone tried to previously sue them. Anyway, back to the show.

I had a lot of fun, and I wanted to go because it was something different compared to the past shows that I showcased on this blog.

I saw this car at First Thursdays. It's still cute...

Someone actually allowed people to autograph their car... I've seen signatures on cars, but it's only been professional athletes.

The owner of this 350 completely gutted his vehicle and is starting over. I talked to him for awhile and his plans include carbon fibering the interior as well as upgrading the engine and other tricks that's up his sleeve. I want to see the finished product.

I wanted to show this car because the owner and I graduated from the same school: Savannah College of Art and Design.

So the sweethearts at Revolution Kustomz decided to bring some of their custom vehicles and the truck they brought wasn't your "everyday" pickup truck.

Seems innocent, right? Well, they decided to play the video to DJ Khaled's "All I Do Is Win". Now I love that song as much as the next person, in fact, I wake up to it every morning. However...

That's 16 speakers behind the seats. I'm not done yet.

Speakers in the doors, and...

Subs in the back. I couldn't hear myself think while taking these photos. Having a DJ was pointless, they could have just parked this in the middle and attached a microphone to it.

I thought he was cute.

(They must have known I was coming, that's why they had a 100% blacked out 350Z.)

A few of the Z Nationals girls... and they were so happy that I asked them to pose.

Datsuns had a nice presence there considering that the last year one was produced was 1983.

Think I'm lying???

And the owner made sure that I got a photo of his 76' Datsun and...

the model car that he created to match his car...

But now it's time for Bernie's Best and Worst Picks....

My favorite pick was had to be this 350Z because someone received sponsorship from one of my favorite companies....

One thing about me, I do love some Patron. Too bad they weren't giving away some bottles.

Now for the worst:

I picked this car not because of how the car was customized, but because of this:

You know I HATE the Red Sox...

Again I had fun at Z Nationals, and see you again next year. For more photos, go to 2010 Z Nationals Car Show Gallery at BeTrueATL.com

After all... and also, someone lost their pants in the parking lot...
