Car Show Bernie: Bernie's Car Show Coverage: 2024 Florida Classic Weekend

On November 22nd, I made my faithful return to Orlando for the Florida Classic Weekend.

We all know that Florida Classic weekend has to do with a football game between FAMU and BC-U. However, you're reading a post from a person who doesn't care about football (I'm New York to the heart, and I still don't care about the Giants and the Jets), so to me, Florida Classic Weekend is about cars.

Friday, I did drive by a few gas stations and saw some cars. But once I saw that Orlando PD was already parked and ready at gas stations, restaurants, liquor stores, and Magic Mall... I just went back to my Airbnb. Saturday morning around 10:30ish, I pulled up to 2155 West Colonial Dr, which is the address to Magic Mall with cash in hand and I parked right off to the side of the action. Wasn't going to park in the center of the action because I know the owner of that parking lot doesn't believe in providing garbage cans.

I know that a lot of people have been discussing Florida Classics and how much it has changed. I can't really speak on that since I've (meaning Bernie) only been going to Classics since 2021. So I don't know how it was when it was mostly Floridians going and there was much less of a police presence. I can only speak on what I've seen and experienced which is from 2021 to 2024. Now, I do enjoy going to Orlando, but as a content creator, I don't get as much content because of the police cracking down. As soon as someone presses on the gas a little too much, the cops pull them over.

Sunday had excellent weather as well, but Sunday is the day where the crowd splits up. Some people went to the Riding Big Car Show, some people were across the street from the car show, and some people were at Magic Mall and hung out there. I split my time between across the street from the car show and Magic Mall.

Not for nothing, I still had fun during the Florida Classic Weekend. I met some nice people and most importantly I was reunited with some great looking cars and saw some new cars as well. This officially marks the end of the 2024 car show season.
