On April 26th, the Stuntworld guys held their famous Stuntfest weekend. The weekend goes as follows: Wednesday and Thursday usually involves meeting up at a club/lounge/sports bar. Friday is a meetup prior to going to a club.... which means the first three days, I was no where to be found. But this year had a bit of a plot twist. I emerged Saturday, April 29th, for their block party because it's always a great time.
Here's where the plot twist comes into play. Past few years, Stuntfest was held at the Silver Dollar Raceway. After some thinking, MJ figured why keep renting out a track. Just purchase some land and turn it into a track. And so he did...
The announcement of the location was provided during the block party. I can understand why such measures were taken because when you step outside of the box, people don't tend to like that. If the actual location was released more than 24 hours before the show, someone would have tried to get it shut down. Wouldn't be the first time someone has lied to get a car show postponed/cancelled. And yes, purchasing land to hold all future Stuntfest events is stepping outside of the box. I know that what I said was a bitter pill to swallow, but it's the truth.
Needless to say, I was still very happy with this year's Stuntfest show. Looking forward to seeing the development of the Lillian C Memorial Field. But to see the rest of the photos, check out Bernie's 2023 Stuntfest Block Party and Stuntfest Car Show galleries.
