On April 1st, I returned home to cover the 2026 New York International Auto Show. Held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Midtown Manhattan, this is one of the shows that I hold near and dear to my heart because it's the closest auto show to my hometown, which is located on Long Island.
Although I love going to this show, unfortunately manufacturer attendance still hasn't returned to pre-pandemic capacity. Automotive manufacturers like Mini, Lexus, Land Rover, and Jaguar opted against attending.
Last year, I was a little hurt because I didn't see any lowriders. The lower level at the Javits Center is the Never Ride Stock exhibition, the electric car driving experience, and the electric city vehicles. Because there weren't any conflicting lowrider car shows, some of the lowriders that are a part of the New York lowrider scene made their way to the show.
Although I didn't take as many photos as previous years, I did vlog at the entire show.
