On April 16th and 17th, I returned home to cover the 2025 New York International Auto Show. Held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Midtown Manhattan, this is one of the shows that I hold near and dear to my heart because it's the closest auto show to my hometown, which is located on Long Island.
Although I love going to this show, unfortunately manufacturer attendance still hasn't returned to pre-pandemic capacity. Automotive manufacturers like BMW, Mini, Lexus, Land Rover, and Jaguar opted against attending. However, a new manufacturer did come... and it was Lucid.
I'm not even going to lie to you, downstairs disappointed me a bit. The lower level at the Javits Center is usually the Never Ride Stock exhibition, some more custom cars, the electric car driving experience, and the electric city vehicles. I'm very familiar with the custom car scene in NY, which is just tuner/imports and luxury/exotics. Last year, there were four lowriders. Because of the Lowrider Magazine Car Show in Atlantic City was April 26th (and the auto show ended April 27th), there weren't any lowriders. And as we all should know by now is that I'm not a tuner/import girlie... AT ALL.
Although I didn't take as many photos this year, I did vlog at the entire show.
