Bernie's Car Show Coverage: 2021 SEMA Show

Dec 7, 2021

From November 2nd to 6th, about 100,000 people gathered at the Las Vegas Convention Center to experience the 2021 SEMA Show. And guess who was included in that number???

The Speciality Equipment Marketing Association trade show allows those in the automotive industry to see what's new and the latest trends as well as how the product enhances the look of a vehicle, network with companies, learn how to grow your business in various ways, and also hobnob with some celebrities in the automotive world.

This year was my 11th SEMA Show. Although some things were different, some things will never ever change. Barely surviving off of three hours of sleep, I could not stop smiling (under my mask of course) when I arrived at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Once I was done crying tears of joy, I dove right into the chaos... and I loved every second of it.

What did I see? I'm so glad you asked. This year's vehicles of choice were the Chevy Corvette and Ford Bronco. So many booths had either one of those vehicles. The 2019 car of SEMA (the Toyota Supra) did make some appearances here and there, but not nearly as often as the Corvette and the Bronco. Toyo Tires was the reigning champion of SEMA choice in tires. Still a lot of full size trucks on lifted suspension and plenty of vehicles lowered with Accuair suspension. There was a nice collection of hypercars- i.e. Bugatti Veyron, Bugatti Divo, Koenigsegg CCX and the Pagani Huayra. There were more Donks there than usual and I did not complain especially since all of them are extremely well known. Still wondering why there isn't more lowrider representation, especially since the majority are right in Los Angeles. Also, Dub Magazine made their return since they haven't had a show since February 2020. Hopefully this is a sign that they will start their car show tour next year. I had to opportunity to check out the new Nissan Z, since it was going to debut at the New York Auto Show but unfortunately that show was ultimately cancelled.

And OF COURSE.... The Hoonigan Barnyard is a magical experience.

Even though this year's SEMA Show was smaller than past shows, I am still happy that they were able to pull together having the largest automotive trade show since the pand-- I mean the Panasonic.

  1. The other important point when you are going for car rental from an agency either on a cheaper price or an expensive one is to check out the reputation of the company you are buying a car rental from. And above all never buy from a company that you have come across for the first time. It is possibility that you may be overcharged while buying online from the credit card that may further make the process of lowering down the price irreversible for you. Luxury rental car Miami
