Bernie's Car Show Coverage: Photos from the 2017 New York Auto Show

The start of the 2017 New York Auto Show was April 12th, but the official opening day happened to be April 14th. Held in Midtown Manhattan at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, this auto show is never one to miss. With unveilings from Dodge, Mercedes Benz, Chevrolet, Maserati, Range Rover, Porsche, and more, there was PLENTY of ground to cover and PLENTY of eye candy to photograph.

Even though I’m from New York, this was my fifth year going to the New York Auto Show and I absolutely love it. I get a rush of excitement seeing what’s new in the automotive world, as well as some looking at some custom cars within the Tri-State area. I had an excellent time at the show this year. Some of the vehicles that stood out to me was the major unveiling of the Dodge Demon Challenger which is 860 horsepower. Also, the Koenigsegg Agera RS which has 1160 horsepower, the new Lucid Air car which is an electric, luxury car, the new Rimac Concept One hypercar that has 1088 horsepower, the Range Rover Autobiography SV that I was locked in (the child locks were on in the back seats and I couldn't get out until one of the Range Rover representatives opened the door for me), the cozy interior of the Porsche 911 GT3, the plush (and uber comfortable) interior of the Mercedes S650 Maybach Cabriolet, and of course.... the New York Yankees wrapped Toyota Prius. Oddly enough, the vehicle that truly surprised me was the Volvo S90. I was impressed with the aesthetic design, however, the S90 only has 250 horsepower.

Bernie's Car Show Coverage: Photos from Caffeine and Octane: April 2017

Actually, I should have said 45 Interesting Cars plus One Super Cute Dog" as the title. On a gorgeous first Sunday morning of April, Caffeine and Octane put on their fourth car show of 2017. Held at the Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody, Caffeine and Octane allows car enthusiasts from all over to bring their cars and to show them off. It doesn’t matter if you show up in a rose gold chrome wrapped BMW X4I, Chevy Chevelle SS 454, Lamborghini Gallardo, a Shagalicious Jaguar, a Ford Mustang with a supercharged engine, a lowriding Chevy Impala, or one of the many other vehicles that still allowed those that admire cars to appreciate them for the beauty that they are.

Sorry for the delay. On a gorgeous first Sunday morning of March, Caffeine and Octane put on their third car show of 2017. Held at the Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody, Caffeine and Octane allows car enthusiasts from all over to bring their cars and to show them off. It doesn’t matter if you show up in a Dodge Viper, BMW M3, Pontiac Trans-Am, Bentley Continental GT Speed, an Army Truck, or one of the many other vehicles that still allowed those that admire cars to appreciate them for the beauty that they are.

A little bit of rain will never slow down Caffeine and Octane.

On a dreary Sunday February 5th, Caffeine and Octane put on their second car show of 2017. Held at the Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody, Caffeine and Octane allows car enthusiasts from all over to bring their cars and to show them off. It doesn’t matter if you show up in a Nissan GTR Nismo, Plymouth Roadrunner, Lamborghini Aventador, Dodge Charger (like I did), Ford Mustang Mach 1, or one of the many other vehicles that still allowed those that admire cars to appreciate them for the beauty that they are.

Bernie's Car Show Coverage: Photos from Caffeine and Octane: January 2017

The highlight of Caffeine and Octane: McLaren P1 VP4 

Caffeine and Octane is really becoming more and more popular. Atlanta’s most dependable car show is now becoming Georgia’s most dependable car show. Held at the Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody, Caffeine and Octane allows car enthusiasts from all over to bring their cars and to show them off. Caffeine and Octane has become so popular, they now have their own show on the Velocity Channel. 

Caffeine and Octane is normally held on the first Sunday of the month, however this month was a little different. The first Sunday of January happened to be New Years Day and Caffeine and Octane never occurs on New Years Day. Then it was rescheduled for January 8th, but Atlanta overreacts when it comes to snow, ice, and even cold weather. Because of the holiday and 16 degree weather, the first Caffeine and Octane of 2017 was held on January 15.
