Hot Import Nights and Savini Model Search Coverage

Mar 26, 2012

A couple of weeks ago, Hot Import Nights and Savini Forged Wheels joined forces and held a model search during Hot Import Nights car show in Pomona, Southern California. It's genious because car shows brings plenty of photographers and perverted guys with cameras as well as you get to see how the model can pose with the car- is she having fun with it, is she awkward, does she excite the crowd, etc. It's the perfect test, and one thing that I absolutely love about import car shows is that they use great looking girls (and this is coming from a girl). The one thing I can't stand about certain car shows is that they find the ugliest girls trying to lean across a car who is busting out of her shorts and can barely walk in heels. Now you see why I like to travel to various parts of the country for car shows.

Thankfully, Savini hired someone to photographed the event. Some of the photos were a little questionable in terms of quality, but check out the ones that I decided to highlight.

Upcoming Car Show: 2010 NOPI/HIN Show in the Windy City

Sep 16, 2010

Chi-Town!!! The final stop of the 2010 NOPI/HIN tour is in the hometown of LisaRaye, President Obama, Twista, and Hugh Hefner. On September 25-26, you will not be at a White Sox game (it's not like you'll be missing anything, unless if they're playing the Yankees). Instead the NOPI/HIN finale will be at Soldier Field in Chicago. I'm guessing you know how to get there, if not, ask one of the four names I mentioned earlier, if you happen to know them personally. I know I don't.

Well if you want to go to the show, get those tickets in advance. Click on the banner above, and order the tickets online. THEN type " BERNIENOPI " in the Promo Code...

Chicago should end this tour with a BANG!!!

UPDATED: Upcoming Car Show: 2010 NOPI/HIN Show, LA

Aug 25, 2010

LA!!! On August 21-22, what will you be doing??? Well, let me make a suggestion. The fifth stop of the NOPI/HIN Tour is rolling west allllllll the way to LA. It will be held at Angel Stadium in Anaheim. It's about 35 mins from wherever Google considers the main point of LA to the stadium, but you might hit some traffic on the 5.

UPDATED: NOPI/HIN changed the date and time of the LA Location. It is now being held on September 18th at the Los Angeles Convention Center. (I guess holding it at Angel Stadium would bring the LA Angels luck) The time will be from 4pm-11pm (that's a late show, especially if it's indoors.)

If you want to save a little cash, click on the banner, order the tickets online, type " BERNIENOPI " into the Promo Code.

Don't thank me now, but if you see a rapper that goes by the name of Glasses Malone, tell him Bernie says hi, since he doesn't come to Atlanta anymore.

Check out Tony and his Dragon Inspired Mitsubishi Eclipse

Here's some more photos:

And hear what Tony has to say about his car.

Reminds me of the Dragon Coster at Rye Playland. But I couldn't get past how him and his son did it all by themselves.

Upcoming Car Show: 2010 NOPI/HIN Show, M-I-A

Aug 6, 2010

Hola Miami. The fourth stop on the NOPI/HIN is rolling through Miami on August 14-15. The location has changed and it's now at the Miami Convention Center. Because it's indoors, it's strictly a car show... ONLY.

So if you are planning on attending, which you should, just click on the banner, order your tickets and type " BERNIENOPI " into the Promo Code area, and save yourself a little cash.

Let me know how it goes, since I can't shut down Miami for the second time. That first time was something else...

Recapping the 2010 NOPI/HIN Atlanta

Aug 3, 2010

NOPI returned to Atlanta!!!! After three long years, this time, they teamed up with Hot Import Nights and came back to the Atlanta Motor Speedway on July 31 and August 1. Unfortunately, I had a prior engagement, so I could only go out there on August 1. But there's a part of me that is thinking that Saturday had a better turn out than Sunday. I do know that I missed Jasiel (Yung Joc to you guys), but I see him a lot around Atlanta.

I've said this many times that the 2007 NOPI was my first car show and how I thought the show was just the Funkmaster Flex Car Show. But I enjoyed myself because there were soooooo many cars. There was a variety, but they were mostly imports.

NOPI came back, but this year was a little different. It was smaller because some of the people who usually come were a little apprehensive towards the turnout. It was like I expected, mostly imports. When I was hearing about guys' thoughts about NOPI, they were a bit let down cause it was mostly an import type show. There's less Crown Victorias, Chargers, early 80's vehicles, etc but there's more Hondas, Scions, Mitsubishis. It was like I never left New York.

Let's take a looksy.

Reminds me of the days of drag racing on DPA (Deer Park Avenue, it's a Long Island thing)

(I like the curtains)

She's not just a NOPI Model, she does all car shows and she's been in music videos (That's how I know her). Check out jadacheng.com for more info about her. Don't be surprised if you see her on here again, especially cause she's from New York.

The Steelers license plate frame ruined the moment. I should have tossed it somewhere.

The owner of the bear wanted me to take the photo.

The owner of this truck said that he loves New Yorkers

Since he said that, I might as well showcase his other vehicle.

So cute

Here's the funny part, I recognized this car from the 07 NOPI. Back then, he airbrushed Biggie, Tupac, Left Eye, Aaliyah and Jam Master Jay on the car. Don't believe me???

Told you....

We all know I hate body kits on SUVs

This ain't your Daddy's Toyota Camry, and if it was, I don't think Sunshine (her actual name) would be leaning on it.

However Interviews from these two vehicles are coming soon...

There better be a 2011 NOPI Tour. I didn't see the Hot Import Nights aspect at all. For more photos, check out 2010 NOPI/HIN Car Show in Atlanta gallery at Betrueatl.com
