Upcoming Car Show: The Stuntworld Guys are at it again....

May 31, 2010

The third annual Stuntfest car show is coming up. Last year I couldn't go because of a video shoot, but I will be there this year. The flier/banner actually gives all the information, so there's no sense in my typing what's above. I just believe in promoting a good car show...

The downside is that all the girls in Atlanta who were lied to by guys telling them that they should be models will be there. It's not mean, but not every girl is made to be a model.

At least I can ask Dro if he still has that Escalade.

Rob Kardashian is unloading the keys to his Range...

Following in his older sister's footsteps, Rob decided to sell his vehicle on ebay. It's a 2006 Navy Blue Range Rover Sport HSE. This 4WD SUV was customized by Platinum Motorsport in Cali.

Let's go over customization specs:

Wheels are 24" 3 Piece Strut Wheels that were color matched to the body of the Range. The Strut wheels are wrapped in Pirelli tires.
Strut grill package, front main grill, lower bumper grill, side fender grills and Strut badge on the rear trunk.
Custom Sebring exhaust.
Rear tail lights are smoked.
Multiple parts of the vehicle were custom painted to match the navy blue.

Let's hope that he has better luck than LaLa.... I'm sure he will though.

Isn't This Custom Avalanche Hot???

May 28, 2010

So I'm still at the D&D Kustoms car show and I came across this 2005 Chevy Avalanche, and it belongs to David. So David was like "Come get your photos", real sweet guy. So after I took the photos, I asked him if I could interview him about it. He was all bashful and shy, and the ironic thing about it is that he gave a great interview. I didn't have to coach him through it or anything. The reason why he did so well was because he was able to talk about something he loved: His 2005 Red Chevy Avalanche.

Check out the photos, followed by the interview.

Note: Yes there's TV's on the front AND on the back of the headrests. THAT I've NEVER seen before.

David has a sick attention to detail. I need to ask him what's next...

P.S. Chevy Avalanches and Cadillac Escalade EXTs are virtually the same thing. And if you sit here and tell me that the difference is two horsepower, just log off of this site. Oh and Cadillac Escalade EXTs sells the least within the Escalade family.

Ridin Music: Recognize He's Back...

May 27, 2010

So they finally released it at 8:00 pm yesterday. I didn't get a chance to listen to hear it, but from what I heard, it's a good one.I gotta play it tomorrow, and then I'll update this post.

And to aspiring rappers: I'm sorry, but Lil' Duval's skit was hilarious, and he didn't lie when he said that the track he was on was better than half of the music out there.

I finally had the opportunity to listen to it in the 'Voy, and HONESTLY speaking...

I LOVE IT!!!!

I was skeptical at first cause I love Paper Trail, and usually it's harder top a hot album, especially with a mixtape, but with help from MLK and the screaming DJ Drama (Lord did he scream over this mixtape. I thought I was back in NY, listening to DJ Clue), Clifford did it.

The theme of the mixtape was to rhythmically slap those who had a lot of negative things to say about TIP. Those same people had ample amount of time to prove how "great" they are and how their music is better than TI while TI was *clears throat* "on vacation".

I did notice one thing though. The last song "Got Your Back" with Keri Hilson, would have been a stronger song if Tiny sang on it rather than Keri. Nothing personal towards Keri, BUT if the song is about "being down for someone" and if the person who IS down for you is a professional singer... I'm just saying.

Anyway, if you're one of the few people who hasn't heard the mixtape, the player is below and see for yourself. I'm positive you'll be keeping this in your car for awhileand not throwing it out the window like most of the mixtapes that are out now...

What has four wheels, 621 horsepower, and costs $280,000

Give up? The new 2011 Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible.

(Thanks Car and Driver for photographing my new boy toy)

Let’s talk specs.

6l W-12 Engine with twin turbos that has 621 horsepower. This is the first Bentley that’s capable of running on both gas and E85 ethanol. So with all that horsepower, that means that this Bentley can go from 0-60 in 3.7 seconds (0-100 in 8.9 seconds) and the highest speed is 202 mph. Yes, this is the fastest and the most powerful Bentley off of the assembly line. And the combined fuel economy is 14.4 mpg. So with Bernie behind the wheel, it’ll be 12 mpg.

There are some cosmetic differences between the Continental Supersports vs. the Continental GT. Differences like the smoked steel finish on the radiator, lower grille, and hood vents finished with a new physical vapor deposition process. Instead of using the traditional wood trim, it is replaced with carbon fiber pieces and Bentley also used Sparco bucket seats instead of Bentley seats which the Sparco seats are 100lbs lighter.

Now why does Bernie like this: Unlike the Bentley Continental GT, Continental GTC, Continental GT Speed, and the Continental GTC Speed, the Supersports Coupe and Convertible doesn’t have back seats. That means only two people can ride in it. Prefect, which means a bunch of people can’t try and jump in,.

The ‘vert will be available July 2010. And I’m more than positive that Manhattan Motorcars (on 11th Ave where the big boys get their toys) has a looooooooong list of folks waiting. Lucky them…

Ridin Music: Bernie's Song Of The Moment

Photo jacked from Derick G. (He does good work, well besides me)

So DJ Khaled rounded up Snoop, Ludacris, T-Pain, and Ricky Ross for the song "All I Do Is Win". THEN, Khaled rounded up even more people for the remix... brace yourself for the list. We have Busta Rhymes, Rick Ross, Jadakiss, Puffy, Nicki Minaj, Fabolous, T-Pain, Fat Joe, and Swizz Beatz. And on top of that, Khaled decides to rap.

Of course, the remix has 10 people on it, so each person basically gets two bars on a 5 minute 20 second song. It's a little bit more than two bars, but not much more.

So muffin butts, if you want to take a listen to both, I got them below. The original version is first:

Followed by the remix:

Jarvis' 1971 King Kong Chevy Impala

May 26, 2010

I was heading out of the D&D Kustoms Car Show and I turned around and saw this big purple Donk. I knew it looked familiar but I couldn't exactly place where I've seen it before.

Have you ever seen a bunch of crows feasting on a freshly killed animal??? Well, once this purple donk was parked, everyone who was in the parking lot surrounded this car. I'd figured that I might as well be nice and let everyone get the photos they wanted and then I get the photos that I needed.

What I loved most about the vehicle was the paint job, the graphics, and that uber heavy engine. **Note: Jarvis doesn't tell me how many horses are in that engine, but because I read Rides Magazine and I have the May 2010 issue that features this vehicle, I'm not going to say the exact amount, but it does have over a 1,000. You've been warned.

You know what, since Jarvis' interview had so much personality, I'm not going to even say anything. I'll let him talk about it. The photos are first, and then the complete run through is on the bottom.

Ain't it pretty??? Check out Jarvis' Interview below...

P.S. Is it me, or it's always the shop owners that has the best customized vehicles. I'm gonna test that theory at Stuntfest and the Funk Flex Car Shows...

Ridin Music: Getting Super High With Rick Ross

So Ricky Ross has an upcoming album, Teflon Don, coming out later on this year. the lead single, "Super High" features Ne-Yo.

So since I like the song, you know the deal... if you like the song, click on the photo above.

Recapping 2010 D&D Kustoms Car Show

May 25, 2010

On May 22nd, D&D Kustoms (Car Customizing Shop located outside of Atlanta) had their annual car show. I didn't hear about it in advance. Actually, I went out to Stonecrest Mall for an event that 95.5 The Beat was having inside. I was looking for a parking spot to park the 'Voy and I happened up on this show.

This was my first time covering their show. I've seen them around, but I honestly didn't know that they put on their own shows.

Lowriders were in effect...

Now if you go to D&D Kustoms Car Show Gallery @ Betrueatl.com, you'll see 9 vehicles that has multiple photos I didn't show in this post, and that's because those are the 9 owners that I interviewed which will be coming up shortly... The guy with the Baby Blue Hummer gave me his interview in Spanish, and I'm gonna post it, even though I couldn't understand him.

All in all, the car show was okay. They should have promoted it better. If they did, more cars would have been there. Interviews are coming soon!!!

Ridin Music: Look What Lloyd Banks Done Started

May 24, 2010

I know the title is grammatically incorrect, but I'm rolling with it.

(Photo from This Is 50.com)

One third of G-Unit, Lloyd Banks, collaborated with my rapper Ray of Sunshine, Juelz Santana for the song "Beamer, Benz, and Bentley". The song took off like fire, and then a bunch of rappers had to do their take of the song.

Maino came up with "Trina, Kim, Or Nicki"

Joell Ortiz Did "Nissan Honda Chevy"

Then he REMIXES a REMIX and throws Jim Jones on the track "Nissan Honda Chevy (Remix)"

There's more remixes but do you really want to hear 500 versions of a song?

So someone mixed some of the remixes together and came up with the Hi-Def Remix which has Lloyd Banks, Joell Ortiz, Fabolous, Maino, Papoose, and Juelz Santana) (They should have named that the New York Remix)

And then Lloyd releases an actual official remix which features Ludacris, The Dream, Yo Gotti, and Jadakiss

And in case if you forgot what the original version sounds like

Upcoming Car Show: 2010 Dub Car Show, Houston, TX

Alright the Dub Car Show and Concert Tour is stopping in Houston on Sunday, May 30 at the Reliant Center from 12:00pm-6:00pm.

Top 10 Driving Mistakes that people make… Part II

May 21, 2010

So part one was yesterday, and if you missed it, click here to go back to Top 10 Driving Mistakes That People Make... Part I

  • Not letting other cars mergeHas Bernie been guilty of this??? Yes, because if they drove slow when you were several cars behind them, chances are if you get them get in front of you, they’ll drive at that same slow speed.

  • Honking at Traffic Lights. Has Bernie been guilty of this??? No, because it’s dumb. Honking at the lights will not make it change any faster.

  • Sharing Your Music. What’s worse is when guys are blasting Rihanna, Beyonce, Chaka Khan, anyone along those lines. Or two, when guys have crappy sound systems and you hear their trunk rattling. Has Bernie been guilty of this??? Yes because I still have that CD of old school TV theme songs that I do play, as well as songs like bad 80’s songs like “Sweet Dreams” (The Eurthymics) and “Tainted Love”. I get strange looks like “why is she listening to that”. What, you thought I listen to Jay-Z all the time.

  • Not Cleaning Your Car In The Winter. If you don’t clean your car off in the winter, the snow flies off and hits other folks cars. Plus it adds weight to your vehicle, which means it has to work a little harder. Has Bernie done this: Whenever I’m driving in the NY in the winter, and that is once in a blue moon.

  • Finally: Not using your turn signals. Has Bernie been guilty of this??? No because it gets on my nerves when people don’t use theirs, thus causing me having to use my horn to point out others mistakes.

And there you have it. And honestly, I’ve been guilty of 5.5 out of 10. The whole "Not cleaning your car in the winter" thing counts only as a half since Atlanta doesn't get measureable snow.

Top 10 Driving Mistakes that people make… Part I

May 20, 2010

And that does include Bernie. I’ll admit to my mistakes but this top 10 list I found is very interesting.

According to the guys (at least I hope it’s guys running that site) at Ask Men.com, this is their top 10 driving mistakes in no particular order.

  • “Nudging Pedestrians”, which means blowing at them so they can hurry up, while crossing the road. First question: Where do they do that??? After living in NY and Atlanta, I’ve never seen that. You have to have serious road rage to do that. Has Bernie been guilty of this: No!!!! It breaks my heart seeing old people trying to run across the street.

  • Tailgating. Has Bernie ever done this: Yes because it burns my very soul on fire when someone is so quick to jump in front of me and drive 10 mph slower than the speed limit.

  • Speaking of which, Driving Slowly. Has Bernie been guilty of this? Yes, when the cops are around, in crappy weather conditions, and in school zones/parking lots. Any other times, forget it.

  • Double Parking: If you live in Atlanta, think of Peters Street in Castleberry Hill. Has Bernie ever done this?? No, Double Parking is just laziness.

  • Leaving Your Brights On. Has Bernie been guilty of this?? Yes, only when a car decides to cut me off at night. Then I decide to keep up with them, with my brights on. Hey, it’s more effective than screaming at them.

Part II is coming tomorrow... I won't leave you'se hanging.

Part 2 of Wrecked Exotics fiasco, and the poor Bentleys on them...

May 19, 2010

I already stated how I felt in Part 1 so there’s no need in my repeating what I said. Cause I still stand by what I said.

The first part had to do with a vehicle that is virtually impossible, at least I thought, to total: The Hummer H2..

Part two I’m gonna touch on the car company that makes my dream car. Yes, I’m gonna talk about Bentleys. Not just the Bentley Continentals (My favorite), but the Bentley Arnage, Azure, anything from that line that people have messed up… But in this post, I’ll leave the Russians alone. But check out the Bentleys section on the Wrecked Exotics site cause FOR ONCE, there quite a few stories where the owners weren’t at fault. Just because I said that there were a lot of stories where the owners weren’t at fault, I found some where the owners proved that common sense is still a rarity in people’s traits.

Judging by the stories, I only feel bad for one person’s Bentley, which will be the first one…

I feel sorry for this one because this was done during the "pre-delivery inspection". So that means that the owner didn't get to burn rubber in it. And that sucks…

Now all the other ones, you know the owner was at fault, except for this next one.

I still say the owner is at fault for being stupid enough to loan out his car to his brother, especially this kind of car. So the owner’s brother was perpetrating like this car was his and did a spin out in the greatest city to stunt in, New York. Of course, he failed Spin Out 101 and slammed into a light pole. The car was drivable, but who wants to drive a dented Bentley…

Let’s keep it in New York for awhile. As much as I love NY, there are stupid people who live there…

This is what happens when you don’t carefully plan who you’re going to cut off. If you’re a skilled enough driver (very few by the way), and you’re smart enough to plan your maneuvers through traffic, the more exotic the vehicle, the more you plan.

But honestly, Midtown Manhattan would be the LAST place I would cut someone off in a car. I wouldn’t even drive in Midtown, cause walking is a lot less stressful.

I’m not going to even comment, just click on the photo to see. This was heartbreaking, but you know I only care about the car because the idiot of a driver is at fault.

This Bentley is just as bad as the black one. Seriously, if I had this car, this would be the last thing I would do to it.

How fast do you have to go to slam into a guardrail and only damage the side and knock out the glass. The front bumper is okay, except for the piece missing from the grille.

For the grand finale…

I honestly hope that the driver didn’t actually try to get this fixed. If there’s over $115,000 in damages to the car, then you might as well buy a new one. I don’t think the Queen is gonna like that one, but I guess that’s how the Brits get down.

Tally Ho…

If You Can Drive in Atlanta, Then You Can ALMOST Drive Anywhere.

May 18, 2010

I say almost because seeing how I’ve never ventured out onto the West Coast, so I can’t comment about LA. There’s a lot of Atlantians that I can guarantee that can’t handle BIG city driving (New York)

Driving in Atlanta sucks. And this is coming from a person who loves to drive. If you’ve read articles about Atlanta traffic, you know that in the last 10 years, A LOT OF PEOPLE moved to Atlanta. And by a lot, I do mean over a million people, including me.

This is why it sucks and I’m breaking it down by using geographical logic. Atlanta is made up of mostly Fulton County, a little DeKalb County, and a little bit of Clayton County, and THAT’S IT!!!.

Let’s add the bad drivers: those who “think they live in Atlanta” and they really don’t, like the rest of Fulton (Alpharetta), DeKalb (Stone Mountain/Lithonia), and Clayton (Riverdale) Counties, and all of Gwinnett (Duluth), Douglas (Douglasville), and Cobb (Marietta/Roswell) Counties. Ladies and Gentlemen: If your mailing address does not say “Atlanta GA” on it, you DO NOT live in Atlanta. You live close to it, major difference. And you’re also the culprit behind rush hour traffic, because rush hour traffic always originates in Cobb and (especially) Gwinnett Counties and it backs all the way into Atlanta.

Now for the worst drivers: Those with out-of-county plates (Cars from parts of Georgia that doesn’t matter), and those with out of state plates. Tennessee, Alabama, and South Carolina, and Florida isn’t far from Atlanta. You can make it there in less than two hours (Trust me, I know). Then you get the folks who are just passing through to go through: like people on their way to Florida, and they’re from states that I forget that they even exist.

So you get all these people driving on 75, 85, 20, and 285, and the minority are those who can handle big city driving.

And that’s why if you can drive in Atlanta, you can almost drive anywhere, except for Gwinnett County drivers… They just can’t drive, period.

I wonder is Kasim Reed has this problem… And doesn't it feel good to vent...
