Kendall Jenner's Birthday Gift... Are you really surprised?
Nov 20, 2011
Apparently people are making a big deal about Kendall Jenner and her Sweet 16 Birthday gift, a black Range Rover. Can I bring up several points: One: This family is a huge Range Rover Family. All of them, at one point in their lives, have had their own Range Rover. Two, does anyone remember the show on MTV "My Super Sweet 16"? Some of those kids scored better than Kendall by receiving far more expensive cars. One boy in New Jersey did receive that Mercedes S550.
I did a little digging. All of the media outlets are stating that it cost $90,000 and that it was a 2012 Range Rover. Based on the price within Calabasas, CA (where they live), Kendall received the 2012 Range Rover HSE Supercharged, unless if Kris Jenner is that good and Land Rover shaved $30,000 off of the price of a Range Rover Autobiography Edition (MSRP: $130,000), and I seriously doubt that.
Time to run the specs:
Height: 73.9 inches
Length: 195.8 inches
Width: 77.0 inches
Engine: 5.0L V-8
Power: 510 horsepower @ 6,000 rpm
Transmission: 6-spd w/OD
0-60: 5.8 seconds
Drivetrain: four-wheel aka All Wheel Drive
Wheelbase: 113.8 inches (some 24s will fit comfortably)
MPG: 12 City / 18 HWY (As long as she doesn't get gas in Beverly Hills, she'll be okay. Beverly Hills charges $1 more PER GALLON, than Los Angeles)
MSRP: $94,820 which means the invoice/sticker price was about $90,000.
By all means, I'm not a stan for this family. I just watch the show and I'm smart enough to know anything that this family does will not affect me in any way and it won't stop me from living my life. The real question is will the amount of time of her having the car last longer than her sister's marriage?
Forgiato Wheels Shows off an all Black Carbon Fiber Rolls Royce Phantom...
Nov 17, 2011
According to Forgiato,
Designed by Symbolic Motor Car Company in California, this Rolls Royce has been toned down on the usual luxuries, and bought in with a more racing friendly appeal. The use of 3M carbon fiber Vinyl has reduced body weight, but given a very special ‘racing vehicle’ appeal with the glossy finish, along with the prominent 24″ Forgiato Vizzo wheels. Though not much has been disclosed but the transmission and suspension also have been played with, to combine the luxurious comfort and a sporting characteristic to the vehicle. If you may have skipped the car before, this vehicle has the 6.75 liter V-12 engine with 6 speed auto-transmission and 453 HP of power. It also has auto-4 corner leveling system, power controlled doors, with extensive use of leather and fine quality glossy wood on the inside décor. The final price is a mystery too, but it is said to be above $420,000.
I love originality... This is one of the best looking Phantoms I've seen, however I still prefer the body of the Ghost over the Phantom.

Photo of the Day...
And I'm mad that I missed it. At SEMA, different car manufacturers bring some of their customized cars from their line. Kia has been on a roll this year with their commercials for their Soul vehicle. Although I couldn't hang out the Kia booth for an extensive amount of time, but at least someone was able to capture one of the hamsters. Kudos to West Coast Customs' photographer. The photo came out great.
The hamster probably would have hated me. I would have asked him to start rapping and breakdancing. I do like seeing the lifelike characters but it does freak me out when they ask me out on a date. I know it's a little random, but so is my life.
To check out West Coast Customs' photos, click here and it'll take you to their SEMA gallery. But I'm still waiting for their photos from their WCC Experience classes (to see if they caught me as a student.)
Bernie's Favorite: 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Debuts and Shines at the LA Auto Show...
Nov 16, 2011
My boytoy on four wheels made his debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show today. Open to the press for two days, the show will open to the public November 18th (Auto Shows have to do this because the public doesn't understand when press have to take photos, etc). Anyway, the 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 offers a brand new supercharged 5.8 liter V8 engine producing up to 650hp together with 600 pound-feet of torque. Like the current GT500, 19-inch wheels are standard up front, 20-inches are in the back, and a Brembo braking system keeps everything in check when its time to control all that force. The 3,850-pound car also stays exempt from the gas-guzzler tax, and it's still 270 lbs less than the Camaro ZL1.
Where are the Chevy Camaro lovers now???
